This game isn't great but it's a ton of fun. The monster is pretty scary but the real fun is how loud everything is when it falls over. Just that alone got me half an hour of enjoyment. Only negatives I can give is that the game is very very dark and that you can open the dev console, but otherwise this is great fun.

For the short time I played, not bad for a free game however you should: 1. Warn that it should not be played by people with heart conditions. 2. Warn that it should not be played late at night after watching a horror movie. A couple of annoyances: 1. The flash of black when teleporting. 2. It was a bit jumpy when turning my head, for comparison I can play many other games (such as Audioshield) with more moving pieces and get no issues. I would recommend testing the game on a GTX970, the lowest you can play a Vive on as far as I know, as if it will run good on that then it will likely run good on anything newer. Other than that, pretty good effort at a horror game.
Similar to Alien Isolation's gameplay but with a teleport mechanic which is no fun at all. Monster doesn't seem to be distracted by thrown objects and its jumpscare is way too loud for something you'll likely encounter multiple times. My successful try I wasn't even trying to be stealthy/use objects; it just went away from the path I'd eventually found in the darkness. Don't waste your time.
I remember being too spooked to finish the game, sadly my VR setup doesn't work anymore so I can't give this game another try.
"Test Subject 901" is a rather mediocre VR tech demo from a TV production business (not to be confused with game developers, which is a problem). You find yourself alone in a secret testing facility, trying to escape from whatever lurks in the darkness, everyone else is dead, work out why, escape alive, blah blah blah. It's been done before, there's nothing new here. What do you do in the game? First person adventuring, stealth mechanics and avoiding the jumpscare, all in janky unpolished VR. Despite not being in Early Access, it's obvious this is an incomplete product. Developers have an obligation to deliver complete, not partially done products to gamers, that shouldn't be controversial. Whatever the excuses may be, it does no service to gamers for incomplete products polluting Steam like this. It makes it harder for gamers to find complete games, and it makes it harder for ethical developers who do the right thing to find their audience. The assets look a little mismatched but they're also much higher quality than the actual game. It's a bit of a red flag for an asset flip, but there's no evidence or smoking gun in this case. While there's no proof, the overall low quality of the actual "game" part (an important part of the whole package that makes up a game) is indistinguishable from an asset flip, and no matter where the assets came from, the quality here is bad. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design... if the only cool thing about your product is VR support, your product is not cool. This game is fairly dated at 7 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. Most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's usually some kind of monetisation, from nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, to any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable, or something you might want to spend your time on. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 11 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? What's the verdict? Pass on this one. There's no immediate financial commitment, but there are thousands of more compelling games on the platform that will give you a lot more enjoyment for your time.
