The game can be very aesthetically pleasing for those who knows that the game references an internet sub-culture called "vaporwave". If you don't know what I'm talking about then you're probably thinking that the graphics sucks and maybe this game is not for you. Level design is great and it feels like travelling through different vaporwave albums in every stage, but the experience can be ruined by the broken combat mechanics and unfair enemies and their wall-clipping lasers that you can't really avoid, and I don't really think that this is the cause of me needing to "git gud" since I'm a big fan of classic Doom. It becomes worse when every time you die you have to go back to the beginning of the map. Music is what you would expect of a vaporwave game, it has great ambient tracks that really fits the aesthetic., Despite the flaws this is a very nice free game and I'm a sucker for vaporwave games since they are so scarce The dev is a very talented 3D artist and I hope to see more works of his in video games.

Really good game, great graphics for what they're going for and good difficulty.
After the tutorial stage the mouse no longer lets you look around which makes it unplayable for me at this point.
good game!
I like the graphics. I cannot say anything else, because the mouse control went to hell as soon as I finished the tutorial level.
Stunning visuals if you're into the style. save feature would be nice but you can pretty much finish it in an hour and you do restart at checkpoints. Brutal enemy placement but its a real ~ v i b e ~
The gameplay isn't all that interesting tbh, you have infinite ammo laser gun, some direct damage chasing enemies, and different types of turrets, besides looking out for them, you'll be doing some first person platforming here and there. 4 levels to unlock the last one, all of it should take under an hour. The 4 are not sorted by any difficulty, some are super easy, other might be annoying with high damage turrets. Biggest problem imo is lack of saves, especially since on last level, I got a bug that kicked me back to one I played before. It is a bit unpolished, but given the length, it shouldn't be that much of an issue. The big part is obviously the visuals, it's like an interactive vaporwave album cover, the levels are generally low polygon, there are also lots of 2d sprites, and everything is put through a pixelation filter; despite that move, all the shadows, light effects and god rays are up to the pretty modern standard. Once you sprinkle in the greek statues and architecture, as well as a few old Windows icons, the vaporwave inspiration is undeniable. The odd thing in this all is that it somehow works. Walking the hallways, looking around and shooting the laser - it feels somewhat serene, otherworldly and bordering on spiritual. Of course it all faded for me in the generic 2 forest levels, but there is a nugget of something really cool about this game. TL;DR My review took probably longer to write, than finishing the game. Go ahead and try it if you like the looks.
Decent game, I like the graphics it fits the game and the difficulty if fine. maybe add different difficulties and also a place where you can select levels, sometimes it's hard to know what you have to do at the start so it would be nice to give a few extra hints in the beginning. Over all it's a good game though.
