I've not played this game for yearsss and seeing the 1.0 update dropping almost feels nostalgic of when I first saw this game and played it, tried it out and can't help but say that I'm impressed
Third and final edit: Choosing to make this a thumbs down review now after having beaten it and come across some more annoying bugs/situations. So, i know below i said i was playing it on hard, but i wasint really feeling this game (for the reasons below and more that im about to add to the 4 reasons currently) so i bumped it down to normal cause i wanted to get it out of the way and see the ending (and also because as i have stated below, melee doesint always register which, in a hard mode as difficult in this game is with the situations you can find your self in, it needs to be perfect along with every other ability) Managed to beat it but did die once on the last stage due to bad RNG (sometimes the game will spawn you with several mobs close by with 2-4 aggroing you instantly, this can snowball into an unmanagable situation quickly depending how you move/act). But from what i can tell, the game rezz's you, taking a certain amount of gold in the process, and rez's you with 2 hearts. Game does not tell you it will do this nor anything about it anywhere. It also turns out, once you beat it once, you unlock some kind of.... i dont know, weird looking cyber ninja. He sadly is just a reskin of the base character. Also, your weapon never really changes. Your melee weapon is the same through out the entire game. A sling and nothing more. Your ranged attack is the same but with different projectiles. You will pick up stuff like "ninja star" or "potato" or "grenade's". But its the same, just you winding up a sling, and tossing it at them with a slightly different looking projectile and maybe a different effect depending what you find. Once you beat it, there isint much of a reason to keep playing it in all honesty. Oh, and one more thing, there is a talent called "Shield" that you may be able to buy. Its supposed to guard you from 1 hit ever 30 seconds. It honestly feels like it's bugged and does not work 70% of the time (the 30% i think it did work, im honestly not sure if i was just barely out of attack range or i just managed to dodge the attack in general). It does not have ANY graphic to it either, so there is 100% no way to tell if it is working properly or not. 1. Melee hits dont always register. So if your like me and like to play these types of games on hard, this is kinda of a big issue, even more so since on hard in this game, you can only take 2 hits and on the third your dead and in a game like this, you cant afford to have melee miss (since it minorly stuns normal mobs on hit and prevents them for doing there melee atk which they will do almost instantly if you miss). And this is very much a hit a run type game. Health drops have a low chance of randomly droping from chests and breakables, even with the luck perk. On normal and ease setting your health is doubled, so you can take up to 5 hits and die on the 6th. 2. No way to save it seems. It can easely be made to just have your run end if you die if you dont want people to cheese save state stuff. So if your gonna play, make sure you got at least an hour and a half. Preferably 2. This applies to both hard and normal setting after getting to stage a bit more then half way on hard and beating it on normal. 3. Cant dodge right away after a melee swing or ranged atk is kinda annoying. 4. There is no difference between the 2 characters other then one being a boy and other being a girl from what i can tell. 5. I am not sure if the jump/dodge is supposed to give iframes or not. Ive for sure dodged some attacks with it, but while the jump/dodge animation was active, ive 100% been hit a few times as well. So careful with the "dodge" mechanic in this game, it is on the wonky side. Last thing ill say isint a bad thing, but this is just to let people know. This is one of those games where if you game over, you start back at the beginning. There is no perma upgrade's so you will start out naked and have to work your way up again. As for the price that it has now been given..... ya.... even though i got it for free back when it wasint finished, no way would i pay 22 canadian for this (its 19 something but after tax it comes to 22ish). At best, id say this is worth 12 with tax included. So base price of 10.50 canadian. Best wait for this to go on sale. Over all, this is not a bad game, but it is a bit on the bare bones side. as i stated above, wait for a sale. And only buy it if your into this type of game.
Tried this game out but I didn't like the default control scheme, so I went in to the options to change it. Unfortunately, changing the gameplay controls also changes the menu controls, which makes navigating the menus incredibly awkward. Pausing with the start button also doesn't unpause, you have to select to return to the game in order to resume playing. The game looks like it could be a fun little arcade-style roguelike, but the controller setup is so terrible I can't even get in to it.
Good Game. Very Fun
да раст это хорошая игра
Kinda like old Zelda’s, that’s nice! It’s been a while since I started playing this, but I remember thinking it was quite good. I also remember feeling like the levels took forever, or I was lost, and the save points were few/far between… but that’s most likely my fault, and becoming terrible at games in my old age.
I really like this game. If you like hack/slash I recommend you this title. Gameplay, graphism, music are very goods. there is a lot of loots to increase your stuff and skills but with minimalist system ( shoes and weapons with differents and interessing improvements: traps, slingshots, explosifs ... ) It can be cool to add later more playables characters with differents stats and capacities.
