really fun game, controls are a bit wonky, especially since its controller only, looking forward to future updates
!!!First i have to say works perfect on Steamdeck!!! Then I enjoy this game a lot, i'd say i played already 4-5h (Steam doesn't count offline hours somehow) So now about the game, the first few runs feel a little clunky but after U get used to the game rhythm it feels good an fits to the retro pixel style of the game. I finished the game now in normal difficulty, but played the most time in hard difficulty. And even i'm soulslike player its HARD so if U want a real challenge be brave and try! I will write more about that when i made it in hard. So lets talk about stuff that could be improved; i think the game starts to make the most fun after stage 1 (after first boss). So the players have to get trough it to see the actual potentical of this game. And then the farther u get the better it becomes! The sound is really good i like it! And considering this game is made by 1 person from sound->graphic everything! its crazy!!! i will play more & explore more! And for everybody that couldn't find the multiplayer its the red bus in the camp;)
NOTE: I HAVE NOT PLAYED ALL OF THIS GAME, SO SOME OF WHAT I HAVE STATED COULD BE INCORRECT. This game is alright from what I've seen so far, the art is good enough for me to have no problems with it and the weapons/jump attacks are fine, but I do have some problems with the game. One: The enemies have boring, sometimes annoying attacks and are weak on their own, but the Dev puts three trillion on top of you sometimes and that's not fun considering.(I do like the design of the enemies though). Two: The dash or in this game the jump is useless, You start with two it takes forever to recharge and when I needed to get out of trouble turning to the dash did nothing for me. The items you can get to make your jump have different ability's (shoes) on use seem cool at first glance but because of the jumps slow recharge and very limited uses before it can recharge the effects, of the jump, at best will kill a rat. Three: The weapons and shoes have no stats, this seems pretty inconsequential but for me it would just be a quality of life thing, knowing if the weapon i'm about to pick up does more or less damage then the one I already have, or if they do the same amount of damage (same goes for shoes but also with not knowing what the boots effects do, does it do DOT one big AOE attack, for now I'll never know) is, at least for me information I desperately want. Still if your willing to give it a try, the game does have some charm and, who knows you might find all of what I've said to be nothing significant. Even if this review has deterred you I urge you to buy and play this game, just to test it out, see if it fits you. If it Doesn't them return it.
Simple and quick, short runs with easy gameplay and catchy music, i play it between classes at university. Also with an amazing visuals that reminds me of factorio.
только для гейпмада. на клаве неудобно
nice simple game, really fun to play in co-op :)
The game isn't even finished in the menu, and it's a shame, it could have been something like Torchlight.
Locking movement & shooting to the 8 cardinal directions is not doing the gameplay any favours. The charge time for the ranged attack is about the same as the amount of time it takes the slower enemies to reach you, which means that most of the time there isn't any point in doing the ranged attack. Turning this into a twinstick shooter with auto-attacks would probably make this a better game. The old 'Temple of Rust' logo looked better. Not sure why they changed it.
It's so bland and slow in terms of gameplay, I'm glad I got it for free! Just don't expect a second Hades! /10
