This 3D platformer is a delightful and soothing experience that excels in creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. The art style is cozy and visually comforting, perfectly complemented by a relaxing soundtrack that enhances the sense of tranquility. The jumping mechanics feel exceptionally responsive and satisfying, making every leap a joy. The charming character designs add to the game's overall appeal, while the level design strikes a perfect balance between engagement and accessibility. For players who prefer a more leisurely pace, the inclusion of customizable difficulty options is a thoughtful touch that ensures everyone can enjoy the experience without frustration. That said, early versions of the game do have a few minor bugs that can occasionally prevent the character from moving as intended. Additionally, the camera movement may cause discomfort for players prone to motion sickness, so those sensitive to 3D motion sickness should consider this carefully before purchasing. Despite these small issues, the game remains a genuinely refreshing and heartwarming adventure that prioritizes comfort and enjoyment over challenge.
I'm only a few levels in, but I've been enjoying the story and characters so far. The news segment at the beginning set a great tone for the game, and I always enjoy when media can mix the silly and serious without worry. The fact that I encountered a cheery-looking berry that opined about its upcoming fate to be eaten did a great job showing off that duality. The platforming also feels nice, as it uses the ability to double jump and glide to help offset how Teeto seems to have an unexpected weight to him. The fact that he can just safely splat on the ground after falling goes well with how quick the drop feels when trying to hop up. The absorption mechanic is also fun to mess around with in order to solve environmental puzzles, and sometimes just for the appearance changes. The fact that one of the collectibles are called "Michaels" is also good for a laugh, and seeing the differences between them is a great way to help motivate further exploration.
3D Platformer with lots of colors and quite a tad of humor! It's made by 2 Adorable Devs that spent 2 years and a half making it, And it's really worth your time if you're looking for something chill & fun! I sure as hell know quite a few in my Twitch community wishlisted it too! ♥
Teeto is another great modern Indie Platformer that I recommend to others. I often prefer longer games, but I think 8ish hours for completion (not 100%) is a perfect length for a game like this, since every hour is filled with creativity and variety. Every level has a good length and is fun to play. There is large variety in themes and designs making every level memorable. I especially liked all of the NPC quests that could be found in most levels. They add a lot of charm and personality to these environments. Additionally, I liked that there are many outfits to buy, which made the currency worth collecting. Lastly, I enjoyed the boss fights and how they all had sperate phases, which kept the fight fresh and challenging. The only complaint I have is with the bugs, which would involve Teeto getting stuck in terrain requiring a level restart. However, these were too problematic with me. Overall, I had a great time with this game and believe it is worth the money. I look forward to see what else this developer makes in the future.
quite promising so far
Teeto is one of those games I genuinely think everyone should give a chance. If you grew up playing games like Kao the Kangaroo or those old games you used to get with Bakoma products in Poland, it will probably bring back that same childhood feeling. But even if you normally play completely different games, whether it is hardcore shooters like Tarkov, arcade FPS games like Call of Duty, GTA, or anything else, Teeto is simply a really nice way to spend your time. It is charming, relaxing, full of personality, and absolutely worth the time you put into it. You can also clearly see how much love the developers are pouring into the game. They genuinely care about creating something special, and I honestly believe Teeto could become one of those core childhood memories for many younger players today. Definitely recommended.
