Stupid ass dog kept blocking me and almost made me lose the race.
I was pleasantly surprised by Teddy Floppy Ear - The Race. I think it is better than Garfield Kart. The main issue Teddy Floppy Ear - The Race is that when you use the milk power-up and go on a arrow that gives you a speed boost there is a decent chance that it will cause your car to have wonky physics afterward. The car may fly forward and go airborne or it may just flip on its side quite easily. Other times while using certain vehicles and turning you may feel like you unfairly flipped over but with experience and using the better handling cars this issue becomes like non existent after you get good. I also should probably note that the game is capped at 30 fps. I didn't mind it and rarely the low fps. The cool thing is that it's not much of a time investment and it is fun to play. The music is fine. The racetracks for each level seem well designed and most have shortcuts. The achievements are not that hard to get. There are different season modes, cup modes and time attack modes to earn new cars, characters and cosmetic upgrades. The difference between the cars can seem subtle but there is a difference. I found the Polonez to be the best starter car (possibly the best car in the game) and for the unlockable cars the Dacia 1300 seems to be the best. I see this is not for sale anymore but if you go it as a throw in a trade or through a 3rd party reseller at a cheap price it is worth it if you like kart style racing games. Obviously there are all kinds of better racing kart games on steam however for a game many would probably write off as total garbage that just is not the case here. While the game is themed for kids it is not really kid friendly. Some of the margins for beating the time attack modes are extremely small. I recommend this game if you have it sitting in your library or if you can get it very cheap.

A racing game for kids, that shouldn’t be for kids at all since I had to actually tryhard to beat some of the levels… The car handling is awful as it feels like you are driving a car made out of feathers but you get used to that after a while. The graphic look terrible and it also runs at an awful framerate somehow for what it is. There is a total of 5 tracks each having a day and night variant and a total of 6 different game modes.
what a woman miss cat would be if not for all the DUIs

Sí, has leído bien.
It's not terrible, but it's also not good enough compared with other free or paid car racing games out there. SuperTuxKart is also a somewhat better alternative if you're specifically looking for free, 100% offline and without any microtransactions. Other reviewers report issues with the split-screen, but it works without any issue from 1 race with 1 keyboard (shared by 2 people). I also didn't experience other technical issues with the native Linux version.
