This is not a game or even a chatroom. This should be removed from the storepage.
Avoid this "game" - its a waste of time. Me and my friends lasted less than 10 minutes before realising its awful. This is clearly someone's first game that they've developed, or an asset flip because it's extremely janky and incomplete game. This is just a chat room where you screw around, but even the basic functions of the game barely function. This is nothing to do with taverns at all, its just a series of rooms that you can move objects around in, talk in local chat etc. Should be £1, not £8. Its a sandbox with nothing to do.
I understand this is EA, however it just feels like a very poorly designed sandbox and doesn't seem to offer anything of value. EDIT: As the developer has responded I thought it best to expand upon my experience. I have some basic expectations when playing a game and number 1 is that the game feels intuitive - controls, purpose, etc. Upon joining a lobby I am tasked with picking a role, but there wasn't any information as to what that would entail for the gameplay - for example, does choosing a cook restrict my activities within the tavern environment - as it is not stated when joining a lobby I am basically going in blind... which is actually what I ended up choosing. Now I'm in the tavern, a bunch of prompts/quests are listed on the side. I check my basic controls and get to work. Immediately I am stumped as one of the prompts is to purchase something - well it seems we have limited funds, am I purchasing something for the tavern, from the tavern, how do I then gain more coins? Another prompt is to burn/destroy something in fire. So I pick up an item and take it to the fireplace, try to place it within the fireplace but it falls out, so immediately go to pick it up again to throw it in instead and now I have picked up the fireplace and there is a burning log on the floor - at this point I can't tell if I have now doomed this tavern to burning down so try and place the fireplace back - it glitches through the wall. I don't mind jank, jank can be hilarious and can often be the full reason for why I find a game fun, but in this instance I am just confused. Thankfully it seems fire does not spread and I go to look at the other rooms and explore around. I play the piano, pick up some objects and nail a chair to a wall which is how I discover I can now earn coins. Even as a sandbox experience, I expect some direction when loading into a game whether you force me to learn WASD controls through an unskippable tutorial or have basic instructions when I hit tab/esc. As such, even having played it for a relatively short amount of time, my gameplay experience thus far told me I would not be having fun. I don't believe this should be SOLD on the storepage as EA, and this is why I would not recommend to other players.
