Innchanted

Do you love Overcooked? Get this. It's one of the best Overcooked-like games I've played, and I've tried most of them. But I don't mean to paint this out like it is just some Overcooked clone. Innchanted has a lot of its own things that make it unique and fun. Great job, devs.

As someone who enjoys fast-paced co-op games like Overcooked, PlateUp, and Moving Out, this game didn't quite meet my expectations. If you are a completionist at heart, I cannot recommend this game. My friends and I love tackling achievements and challenges together, but this one felt overly strict when it came to earning all four stars on each level. Even with three players, we found some of the challenges impossible to complete. There’s absolutely no room for error—one mistake, and you’ll have to restart the entire level if you want to earn all four stars. I can’t imagine it being possible to complete the later levels with fewer than three players. While the game provides AI companions, they struggle to manage the increasing complexity of the later levels, especially with features like moving platforms. Also the game doesn’t seem designed with restarting levels in mind. At the start of each level, you can choose a role that grants perks like extra money, faster movement, or more time. However, if you restart the level, you lose those perks. To regain them, it’s better to quit to the menu and re-enter the level, which feels inconvenient and disrupts the flow. In short, if you only have one friend to play with, I’d recommend skipping this one. However, if you have a group of friends who just want to play through the game casually, there might be some enjoyment to be found.

Innchanted is a fantasy chaotic co-op game where you try to save a family-run magical inn from an evil, jealous wizard. This is a great game to enjoy with friends because each level requires teamwork to handle the surprises thrown at you. The art style is cutesy, and the characters have their own side stories to develop them and the world. The mechanics never get dull, but the pacing could be improved, as too many mechanics are introduced too quickly and it gets difficult to remember which potions have what effects. Once you get the hang of things, though, it's a lot of fun to work through each level. The upgrades feel fair and rewarding, and decorating your inn, while adding little to gameplay, provides a fun side activity to rest between levels. The score requirements are sufficiently challenging without being too brutal, with a few levels taking several concentrated attempts to accomplish. Overall, this makes for a fun addition to the genre, and it's clear there was a lot of love put into this game's creation, so I enthusiastically recommend it to any friend group that enjoys yelling at each other and testing the strength of their relationships.

very cute overcooked-style game to play with friends or kids!

played it at 2 and had a blast. it is similar to overcooked but does enough different (with potions and cat burglars and other creeps) that it is able to stand on its own. solid game, you can probably get 10 hours out of it if you're trying to full complete all the maps.

Fun little Overcooked with some additional complexities and a splash of good old Aussie humour. Not a lot of guides, so I went and put one together - check it out on how to get 4 stars playing this solo; your biggest enemy is the AI.

Fun Overcooked clone with some additional elements. Fun co-op!

Great game for 2 players. AI was helpful, though annoying at times. Similar feel to Overcooked but with some different features (upgrades, AI companion, range of customer types).

This game is adorable, fun, has lovely music and a very wholesome story. I loaded it up to try and 3 hours later I was still playing and saying "Just one more level!"
