Bland gameplay? Check. UI bugs? Check. Absence of any new ideas? Check. Fake positive reviews from the developers and their friends? Check. Greedy pay2advance balance? Check. We have another russian mobile port, guys. 2/10 (at least it doesn't crash, like some others)
Pretty fun! If you're addicted to clickers (which I am) and time wasters (which I am) this is another good addition. Repetitive backgrounds (of course) but a lot more diverse than others, and the fantasy & guild heroes theme is actually utulized unlike most clicker games! Very Free, just expect to leave it running a LONG LONG Time. If that's not your thing? This is not your game. If you're looking for a total time soak with easy to play in the background of work? PERFECT! Edit 7/13: Updating to add a ton of TL;DR basic tips The game doesn't hold your hand, it assumes you're smart enough to figure out the basics of a pretty simple game. But I hate watching people flounder, so REALLY BASICS! NOT for people already "experts" in the game, it'll bore you to tears: Each hero has 5 item slots for power ups, the gold from monsters is used for this. Every ten levels or so, the bosses can drop things like 1) chests 2) runes 3) uhhh... blue money >>; Yeah I don't really know what it's called. You need keys to open the chests, but ! You *get* keys by sending your autoclick faerie on quests OR by time looping (which of course, unwinds all your gold spent on level ups and heroes!) The chests have free perma-items for heroes at completely random. You start off with only 2 items per hero: basic health and demage, these are expanded to heightened health and damage + boots which will give that hero a damage bonus specifically for the map they're "experts in" ie: Thief does best in graveyards, priest does best in city etc. Runes give you items for your magic fae/OVERALL EVERYONE and this sticks through all timeloops and more runes = leveling up those items. You do this with the 3rd master (click master tab ofc) and you can get free runes (purple square things) in chests too. Blue money you can exchange for items. Each item requires a key to use (again, you only get keys by quests or timelooping). Summon friend = go to the forums, click a thread with everyone's code and put in two. Switch them around until you find active friends and then love them forever. It only lasts 24 hours, but it's a cheap (25 blue money) item aside from the key. Passage books skip 10 levels, so they're best saving for when you timeloop, have keys, and don't have the time/patience to go the slower route! Garaga-something gives you double gold, so always use that ONLY after coming back from being AFK for ages and collecting all your quest/afk money. (failed quests = bonus gold money) And way better on MUCH higher levels ofc. Wizard's Notes are the BEST and most expensive (100 blue money /CRAI!) but they automatically complete your wizard quest no matter how much time was left (so don't use it for 3 min. quests stupid self yeah I DID THAT A LOT lol) and double the chance of success rate for that and 3 other quests. Bangin! TOTALLY worth the key, SOMETIMES worth the blue money if you have a lot or are like me and as quest obsessed as clicker obsessed :\ There are 3 masters. The chest & key master, the exchange master, the rune master, and a BONUS master whom you have to buy with 50 gems (green things you get for completely achievements and quests and being stupidly lucky. Or you can buy with IRL money. I mean I haven't, but you can if you have more money than time and no patience.) This will give you a mimic. The mimic is an automatic chest that fights on your side. You can employ extra imps with blue money and set them to work on making things to power up your mimic/chest. Things like: extra items. Extra DPS (damage per second u nub) Extra HP (who doesn't love HP amirite?) all of which is immensely handy. YOU WILL **NEED** THESE MUCH MUCH LATER IN THE GAME. If the mimic is killed in a boss fight, that's it, no more plussing it up. You have to pay 10 more blue money to enchant another, get a new chest (which means additional key to open >:T) and while that's almost certainly worth it; it will NOT be worth it on your first two or three timeloops. You want to get to the 250/300 level range MINIMUM imo. You can't timeloop until you reach level 100. This is not a fast game. You will not reach level 100 in the first hour unless you are insane or did something wrong. And not all the cheating autoclickers in the world can help you with that, because the game's mechanics prevent it. :P At lv. 500 your bonus for timelooping doubles. THIS IS TOTALLY WORTH THE EXTRA DAY OF BOREDOM YOU MIGHT HAVE TO SPEND TO WAIT. SERIOUSLY. So many keys. So many runes! So very good! You can't afford to get all the heroes before your first timeloop. If you've ever played other clicker games, you know this is standard. This is PROBABLY NOT a good "baby's first clicker," because it definitely DOES assume you know all these things already. SKILLS: As you buff your heroes with items, they get skill points. Sort of like Masteries in League of Legends. I always go with the Hunter/Ranger's Item grabs, and the Thief's Shakedown (more gold :V) but ymmv. DO try to get enough stuff to buff and heal your dudes though. This is part of the "All the autoclickers in the world can't help you cheat" because it's not a damage only system, it's combining the guild and RPG elements in a way I PERSONALLY ADORE, but if you aren't into those games? SKIP THIS. Lastly: Gems & rings. You can get 500 gems REALLY quickly early on (first week) by fast completing achievements and using wizard's notes and such, but TRY TO SAVE THEM. 100 gems will give you 100 special gold for the governors slot machine's, but I blew mine so fast there XD Slot machines will get you every time. It's better to wait for the runes & key machines if you are determined to play the slots at all. (the key machine has little keys in it, the rune machine is purple, the chest machine has a chest in front, and the gold machine is obvs. loud and blaring) Eventually as you get to the higher levels of the game, you will actually start exchanging 10 chests for blue money. Because the more you buff your dudes, the better your odds of chests, and DO NOT BOTHER OPENING THE UNBOOSTED CHESTS. They're NOT worth the keys. Boosted chests ARE. (they remain boosted for a few minutes when you first get them, but if you're afk, just collect the chests for blue money, it's worth it.) And don't use the special gold for regular gold slot machines, sooooo not worth it. 100 gems = 100 slot machine gold. REALLY only the runestones and key machines are worth it imo, but ymmv. RINGS: Each ring (goes in your main fae's pockets where the other items like wizards notes and ♥♥♥♥ are; then open your jewlery box ofc) is per a hero. You are not always guaranteed to get the same heroes, even if you buffed up say the conqueror a bajillion times, you might get the defender ring and then the defender instead. (same hero spot: #1, different skills and items) THIS IS OKAY. STOP PANICKING. (specifically to those who did/do/are on the boards and reviews) Variety is what keeps us from getting bored ffs. If you have both rings, you can take one off and decrease your chances of getting that hero. NOT ELIMINATE. The rings are fantastic. The more they level up (via only quests or MIMIC CHESTS <3 afaik) the more they increase that hero's odds of getting runes, blue money & chests from bosses. HELL YEAH!!! \o/ Depending on your play style you might want to make it so that all your heroes cover different regions (remember ^ specialty regions each.) or you can just make sure to select those areas your dudes are gonna kick the most ass in. That should cover it! The forums are friendly enough if you have questions, but seeing 4 hours and people completely misunderstanding the game mechanics was too much cringe for me lol. At least now it's out there and you don't have to dig hard for it. Good luck and have fun! Thanks for reading/skimming!
Its probably one of the better clicker/idle games out, but that doesn't mean much because nearly every one of these is still ♥♥♥♥. It's cosmetically one of the prettier clicker games, but I found the UI a little confusing to browse through. Maybe just me. Still, any one of these 'games' that has a mobile shop and sell consumable ♥♥♥♥♥ that's worth more than the value of 2 AAA games combined is an automatic "♥♥♥♥ this garbage". Come on, 100$ consumable items? Just admit you're hunting for the whales, you unethical bastards. Instead of making an eternally increasing grind, sell me hats or something, I'd ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ applaud you for it and buy one out of principle, instead of doing the exact opposite.
This is just a copy from an already ageing flash game on Kongregate. The devs abandoned it there in november 2016, after adding the "gift" system that require a lot of gems. They never reply to anyone, and ignores forumposts about bugs/issues. + for the game: It's fairly nice made and takes a lot of time to get to 3000 limit. Mostly well made. - for the game Bugs still present even after "steamyfication" (bugs that are in the kong version present in steam) Same devs here, so little hope in bugfixes or new content. Will prolly update a few times with ways to make you pay cash, then never look at it again. No option to copy over progress from other platforms. I would not put ANY money into this game. You can get to the 3000 limit without it. Played on Kong since spring 2016. Same game only with achivements on steam. *edit* Seems to be more people involved in steam version, or they focus really hard here, since i have gotten comments from devs.
Этот кусок кода не умер, а решил, что работать - это не его тема и ушёл в бессрочный отпуск.
! (servers stopped working, making it unplayable currently) One of the better clicker games out there, it has interesting mechanics, a nice aesthetic and achievements. The game has a lot of pay 2 win features though, which really help a player, this is a good thing for some people and a bad one for others, but I get that the devs need to earn money. The balancing of items and currencies can be a bit weird and some mechanics confusing. All in all it is definitely a game I would recommend (if you like clickers anyway), it's one of my favorites as of right now
I consider this game one of the more exciting idle clickers I've played. I have 120 hours on record and plan on pouring many more into it. I'm not sure how people can say the game is "boring" when there is constantly something to do during a session whether it be upgrading troops, crafting items for your Mimic, actively clicking to attack while your wizard is on quests, upgrading artifacts with materials earned, etc. I have steadily progress over the past week since starting the game to reach level 500+ and accomplished 61 of the achievements in steam, and many more in game which grant you more gems to use on upgrades. While of course there are in game micro-transactions/purchases you can make, I have not felt any pressure, be it game difficulty or needing to pay to win. I enjoy the game so much, I'm thinking about paying for some items just to support the devs. All in all great game, very fun, favorite time waster!
This game seems to be abandoned, and no longer functions. The core prestige mechanic is impossible to execute since (apparently) the game cannot connect to its servers. This impacts other game mechanics as well. Devs have not responded at all to tickets about this.
The first thing you may notice about Tap Adventure: Time Travel is the graphics. Whether it’s the character design or the different environments that you end up going to, everything is all very well drawn. It’s genuinely pleasing to look at, especially for a clicker game. Unfortunately, I think this is the only strong point about this game. Things start out as any other clicker game; you’ll be able to hire a few mercenaries and get through a few hundred levels before you’ll have to time loop. You will have to repeat this process hundreds of times of course, getting a little further each time. You’ll earn more gold, runestones, keys, and manacoins, unlock more artifacts and heroes, and so on and so forth. It’s a typical clicker game. While I think it’s entirely possible to really enjoy this game in the beginning, things really start to drag on the further though the game you get. 98% of the achievements can be earned in three to four months. The last two achievements take an additional three to four months. If you’re looking to complete this game, it’s going to take you a good 3,000 hours of play time. I’d say the number one problem with this game is that it gets way too repetitive, even for a clicker game. It doesn’t take long to see what this game has to offer, and then it just shows it to you over and over again. I found myself just wishing I were done with it more often than I was enjoying it. During your first few time loops as you’re still getting used to the game, you may notice that someone just said something in chat. Someone just said something in chat? What? There’s an in-game chat in this clicker game? Yes, there is. This is something I’ve never seen in a clicker game before, and in many ways it was a refreshing idea. Clicker games aren’t exactly known for taking up too much of your mental acuity, so chatting with others can be a nice distraction while you sit back and let your heroes grind a few hundred levels out. This is a really nice addition and I would love to see more clicker games implement this feature. Yes, the in-game chat feature WAS a really good idea, in the beginning. I remember having lively discussions with groups of people when the game was new. The problem is that over time the player base has shrunk considerably and now it’s difficult to have a conversation with anyone, let alone a lively one. Today the chat consists mainly of people posting their friend codes in the hopes that a few other people will use them, or the odd person asking a question about how the game works. Add to that the fact that many people just leave the game running in the background, and it can seem dead most of the time nowadays. If they didn’t separate the chat into two separate rooms, maybe it would help things a little. It’s sad to see the most unique feature about this game, the one setting it apart from other clicker games, is just a novelty at this point. There are a number of different things that you can buy with real world money in this game; some good and some worthless. The slot machine coins and all of the DLC packs are too expensive, and everything you get from them can be earned for free after enough play time. The four extra heroes and the fourth master are worth considering. The four extra heroes cannot be unlocked for free at this time, and they very well could speed up your progress. The fourth master can be purchased for one month using real world money, or temporarily unlocked for one time loop using the in-game currency of gems. Gems are very rarely earned so you won’t be able to unlock him often, but the good news is that he isn’t necessary. [strike]It’s possible to unlock every achievement in the game without paying real money[/strike].* Overall, Tap Adventure: Time Travel has some great art style and a unique (albeit dead) chat feature, but the game play is tediously, agonizingly repetitive, and the achievements are not distributed evenly. If you’re looking for a clicker game with deeper game play and management, or one with an active and friendly community, Clicker Heroes and Realm Grinder are both great alternatives. *Update - From what I can tell, this doesn't seem to be the case any longer. An update now prevents you from unlocking one or two achievements unless you have the extra heroes, which can only be purchased with real world currency. Furthermore, I've seen reports of people receiving nothing when purchasing various things. The devs have seemingly abandoned the game, as I haven't seen them post in the discussions for years now.
