In this video I take a look at TaniNani, a casual puzzle game. This is a great little title. You are given a playfield divided into grids with two little monsters that move as soon as you activate the level. You need to get the little fellows to meet each other by swapping the grid pieces while meeting the criteria for the level. You can stop and start to re-arrange on the fly discovering tricks as you go. I think it's great with challenging game play. Check it out.
A Puzzle Game from a Dev that Deserves your Attention
Would you rather watch than read? Me too. Check out the highlights of the gameplay here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQN46_hoOjU Let's cut right to it: I love indie games. I think they are the market that keeps the game industry running. Sure you can pay 70 dollars for some bug-ridden pile of junk that they keep adding DLC and microtransactions to, or you can pay less than 5$ for 120 levels of pure puzzling fun. TaniNani is a great puzzle game from developer WhyKev that answers the question in the name. Why? Because the whole idea of the game and execution is great. It's frantic. It's organized. It's chaotic. There are 10 different ways+ to solve each level. It's just FUN. Each level gives you 6 tiles that you will need to move around the grid in order to satisfy your objectives which change each level. Sure they are often "Grab the crystal and don't spend more than 20ish seconds on the stage" but the level design makes those goals TOUGH and each stage requires a lot of tinkering and, (often in my case) losing. But it never felt like a DRAG to lose. It never felt like I wasn't being challenged and having fun at the same time. If I lost it was because I messed up. If I lost it was because I just wasn't creative enough to beat the level. It was always FAIR and FUN. Too many puzzle games just become far too hard too quickly and don't follow their own rules or they take their puzzles to extremes and give you no clues. You know exactly how to beat every stage in TaniNani. Just get the crystal and have your two little buddies meet. That's it. Simple right? Yea, that's what I said too. tl;dr - Puzzle game with a lot of style and umph. Definitely check it out because it will provide you with hours of fun!
Don't let the cuteness fool you. This game is one brain busting challenge after another!
I love hearing the “ahhhhhhh~~~!” voice as they fall off the platform ♡
A rly fun and addictive puzzle game :)
Great puzzle that makes you think and retry levels to complete all the goals.
