No, the pixel art is way to small, bland, and generic, and the gameplay is way to slow, boring, and janky, I cant recommend this.
"Tales of Yore" is, well, I don't know how you make a retro JRPG that looks worse than an RPG Maker asset flip, but these guys managed. This is an insanely grindy and pointless JRPG with bad graphics, worse gameplay, and a cash shop. Why does pixelcrap need a cash shop? Nobody knows. Anyway it's thankfully dead, SteamDB shows just a couple of players with advanced Stockholm Syndrome logging on every day and that's it. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. On pricing and value for gamers, this isn't really free as the game is infested with mobile app store like microtransactions. This is a consumer hostile model that we don't need to see on PC. It's deceptively priced to gouge gamers, and that's a reason in itself to avoid this. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at less than 100 concurrent players, they couldn't even break three figures, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.

wonderful game it is simple to learn, very rewarding to play and an excellent budding community. i highly recomend it
Great game for fans of pixel arts. Friendly community kept me playing for almost a year.
very slow, very boring
Good game sadly not many players on, only me and 2 other players on when i played for 1 whole hour. The achievement i got when reaching level 10 on steam only 6.9% of players have it which is sad, like i said great game but sadly is empty.
this is NOT the first game i had and finally went to try and could not even play!!! i think it should be a rule, if your going to spend so much time making a game, MAKE A SINGLE PLAYER CAMPAIGN, it worked wonders with games like Titanfall 2, if servers are to much or life in general and you move on or can't keep your online/mmo running, at least you can charge a few bucks indefinitely and have a functioning game people can purchase and play even if it is only a few hours long, the game looks great and im sure it was fun, but Ill NEVER KNOW and that...IS SAD!!!
"Adorei o jogo, mas acho que seria interessante aprimorar habilidades de suporte, como é minha classe favorita, achei que essa poderia receber um pouco mais de atenção. Entretanto, contudo, todavia, jogo bem interessante e bonito visualmente" Foi o que eu disse dia 24 de agosto de 2024... uma pena, eu adorava esse jogo
