Already liking the charm of the game, Anyone who likes farm sims won't be disappointed with this title, now it could use some quality of life especially with controllers but still a good game and I'm sure it got some good updates on the way! easy + in my book especially at the pricepoint it's being sold at.
I absolutely have no idea how this game has just flown under the radar. Charming, rich in story, and perfect in its routine - I am absolutely enamored with everything about this game; the style, the animals, the pacing, the storytelling, the villagers. A complete and utter hidden gem. I haven't had this much fun since Stardew Valley!
Tales of Autumn is obviously inspired by games across the farming and sim genres. It's closer to traditional Harvest Moons and also Graveyard Keeper, but has a lot of similarities to Stardew. The main difference is the amount of creatures you can find and raise, and you can change the terrain of your land to customise the look and change the crops you grow, and the creatures you want to stay.
I really like the idea of this. However I play on a laptop and was doing well until I realised that to switch biomes you need to have a mouse scroller so the game is basically unplayable for now. I was able to get around the other bits but decided to put it down until this is fixed. Movement direction of using tools also needs to be worked on as its fiddly and takes time which isn't something you have much of. Love the focus on animals and really wish I could play further.
One of the best games released this year - relaxing to play, as the game naturally evolves as you get to meet new people and get introduced to new tasks. The variety of animals and people and areas of the town to visit keeps you engaged. Love how you get so easily immersed into the farm life, perfect for playing after a busy day.
Me gusta muchisimo mucho este game Lo recomiedno a todo el mundo.
This game is a hidden gem! I really like the idea of introducing terraforming and animal taming to the usual mix of farming sim play mechanics and I wish at least one of the two was present in more farming sims. Although the village is comparatively small, there's plenty to see and do. In the beginning I thought the villagers would be very basic and bland types of characters (kinda like NPCs in Fae Farm, another farming sim I've played recently), so I was pleasantly surprised to discover that each of them has their own personality and bits of story to uncover as you get to know them better. I like that this game requires you to explore and discover things for yourself rather than showing you all the available new events and quests on the map in advance. Most importantly: you can tame capybara. I am in love. ( T v T )
In case anyone was wondering it runs just fine on steam deck. I also been using my Xbox controller and it’s perfect.
OBSESSED with this game, and frothing to see more of it. I love the idea of farm animals and wild animals, it scratches my "harvest moon" itch and is really quite wonderful. Very looking forward to seeing where this goes.
Invite wild and fantasy creatures to your farm and entice them to stay by having the right terrain and decorations and growing the right crops. The wild creatures are really well done, I want to experience each of them but I can't bring myself to give any of my current ones up to make room. I'm hoping that the Hals Reserve update will help with that. Active dev, worth it at the current price.
