very inspired of fears to fathom and that's why i like it 9.1/10 the restaurant part was deleted that's why

A decent carbon copy of the Fears to Fathom franchise. If you like those type of games where its cheap jump scares simple gameplay and only a story that lasts about an hour or two, then this is the game for you especially since it's now free. I had an ok time with it, just didn't like the male friend character who was just annoying. These games are definitely a lot better if you don't enjoy jump scares.
Nope. story was bad.
Good
For being the first one, it's great intro to the work of this developer. It did have long transition moments so it felt long without knowing what came next when all you do is wait for the next scene to play. But I did enjoy it! For being free, it's not bad.
Tales Beyond The Tomb - Pineville Night Stalker is a pretty good horror, retro styled game. But what is the story. A young woman named Megan gets a call about her mother's passing and inheritance waiting for her, but it's in the town of Pineville she goes there expecting to get this done as quickly as possible, unfortunately for this young woman simple just isn't in the forecast. Alrighty then the likes, the story is pretty good, it's simple, woman goes to collect an inheritance things goes wrong, definitely was creepy with some nice twists and turns, it's also semi based on true events sort of like how the Texas Chainsaw Massacre was kind of based on true events. The gameplay is good, like the story it’s simple, pick up objects and do certain things to progress the story, nothing too complicated. The characters were fine nothing really to write home about, I do like Megan as you come to care about her in the short time you're with her. The retro graphic art style is good definitely has a sort of Chilla's Art kind of quality to it. The levels are good each area is simple and distinct. The music was fine it fits the game pretty well. The atmosphere was very good definitely nice, spooky and keeps you on the edge. I also liked how this game was free; it gives incentive for people to pick up more Tales Beyond The Tomb games. Okay then is this game scary, honestly yeah definitely has some good atmosphere and build up, it does use jumpscares a bit but they were well placed, you also feel the characters paranoia a bit wondering what's going to happen next. Alrighty then the likes, truth be told there's nothing really to dislike about this game, it's free, short and it does what it’s supposed to and give incentive for people to check out more of the Tales Beyond The Tomb games. So then Tales Beyond The Tomb - Pineville Night Stalker is a pretty good horror, retro styled game, with a pretty good story, good gameplay and good retro graphic art style. So do I recommend this game I do, again it's free so it's not like you'll be breaking the bank and so if you're interested in a good short spooky horror game this could be for you.
I get excited when I see indie Unity "anthology" style games, and I have somehow slept on this series. This one is their first and is F2P. It has a lot of the charm I hoped to find, but it drags a bit in certain places and sometimes I was left frantically trying to figure out wtf to do to push the story along. A few good jump scares though and there's real promise here. It's a no-brainer that it is worth it for the price of Free, and I can't wait to see what the other games offer!
Good game. Not extremely scary, but it does get tense. And the suspense is crazy. I am a sucker for graphics like this, so it really felt nostalgic and scary at the same time. I think it's amazing that it is tied to an actual person.
Played through it a while ago I remember Tales beyond the Tomb: Pineville night stalker being a decent first entry to a pretty solid episodic indie horror series developed and published by 616 Games. • You're playing as a law student and you're on a standard road trip to the town of Pineville and you end up being the target of a serial killer, the game captures genuine real-world paranoia where you are being stalked. The game is also roughly 1.5 - 2 hours. • Inspired by the Fears To fathom series and successfully delivers that realistic, tense and uncomfortable atmosphere. You should definitely be interested in this series if you like FtF. • It is very straight forward and has a repetitive & mundane gameplay loop. Unfortunately has bizarre and immature dialogue at times. However, its nothing you can really complain about considering this is a free horror game and a decent one. Pineville Night Stalker: 7.0 /10
