A love letter to old-school browser-based RTS MMOs – with charming nostalgic pixel graphics, a dash of political satire, and tonnes of strategic tension. Build your empire, face off against other players, and take what’s yours in true British imperial style: by dominating the map.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. Copies below reflect the player base, not paid sales.

About
You start out as a rising member of Parliament — until you realize your party only governs for the same old crowd. Broken promises, shelved reforms, silenced voices. When the system shuts you out, there’s only one way forward: start over. Off the grid. Out of reach of the rules. If they won’t listen to your proposals… maybe they’ll listen to your armies.
Taking London is a slow-burn RTS MMO where you begin with a small village and gradually
turn it into a powerhouse capable of rewriting the history of Britain - which you will using the British Empire’s favorite method: divide and conquer!
Evolve your forces: Upgrade your buildings, research technologies, manage your population, and most importantly... train your armies.
Expand strategically: Conquer new territories to expand your cities, and found budding new villages in strategic locations to prepare for the wars to come!
Conquer the map: face off against players and NPCs in a persistent world with over 400 real British towns and cities, re-imagined in a medieval setting.

Play the diplomacy game: Forge treaties, promises, and alliances - and break them when convenient. Will you stand for order alongside the current government or join the revolution?

Created by someone who spent countless hours upgrading cities, waiting on endless timers, and dealing with unstable kingdoms — all while being bombarded with CGI ads of women begging for help...
Taking London began as a sincere (and slightly vengeful) tribute to the iconic era of browser-based RTS MMOs. But this time:
No pay-to-win via overpriced, overpowered in-game currency
No bizarre "MY LORD!" ads
Just strategy, skill, and sheer political chaos.
Real-time city building in a massively multiplayer world
Tactical PvP and PvE combat - fight with or against NPCs, with or against other players!
Dynamic diplomacy and alliances
Quest-driven progression system with an endgame influenced by the actions of other players
Experience a scale map of Britain in a charming pixel art aesthetic
Cross-platform multiplayer - Windows and Linux/SteamOS currently supported with more on the way!

good price. Game still being refined but only encountered minor QOL things so far. future of this looks promising with no P2W on the horizon (hopefully). Compliments the Runescape grind well.
Purchased this on a whim after seeing it on social media. I love this game and I find myself logging on daily for at least 20 minutes to make sure everything is up to date and put some builds on. If you like Evony, Tribal Wars and any other game like that, you'll love this. No P2W and a communicative dev in the discord.
Good game overall, nice community spirit too. The game is far from perfect and needs a reasonable amount of tweaking and balancing but the bare bones are there. It's still enjoyable to play regardless of it's flaws. I think Pink has done a great job so far of creating a Tribal Wars-like game and it should keep getting better and better in future. Keep up the good work.

It was a dull mans club wifes project. It sounded promising, but sadly too small effort on their part to control the mechanics when put into practice. Some of those that able to commit the hours dominated very quickly making the casual player a pointless exercise. Whether it was just a hobby project or a career development I wish them the best. For anyone else, I wouldnt bother now. Its virtually dead.
Update after 100 hours: Incredible game, easily the most addicted I've been to a video games in a number of years! Everything you could want from this style of game. Feels too good to be true! For the price of entry, I highly recommend everyone give Taking London a go! First impressions are very good. Been looking for something to replace Tribal Hero ever since it went offline, so far this feels like a more fleshed out version of TH. Small but friendly community. Highly recommend
A very fun and refreshing twist on a format that’s usually pay-to-win. The gameplay is addictive, with each building upgrade feeling like its own mini challenge with research and resource balancing. The sense of progression is satisfying, and it’s easy to lose track of time while planning your next move. The low initial cost makes it great value for money, and there’s plenty of content to keep you engaged. The community is welcoming, answering any questions new players have! I recommend this game for anyone interested in strategy/PvP map games.
very good game, reminiscant of Tribal Wars, Travian, or Evony. Heavily reccomended to enjoyers of those games.
Game is a rough build currently. More EA than not, but at the current price... well worth it! Really fun little game for people that liked playing games like EVONY or TRAVIAN. It's even more fun, because you don't have to worry about having to spend money on a cash shop. The time you sink in is the return you get. You can sit and play without worrying about limits. Just an all around fun game. And, I have a feeling that the DEV plans on putting some serious work into future progress and events. I'm super excited!
The game indeed reminds me of Evony and other oldschool browser games. While the UI is basic and the servers have the occasional crash - the gameplay is very functional, the client is stable, and any bugs are very rare. It's definitely worth a look!
FINALLY, an RTS MMO without ANY P2W! The community is great and friendly too.
