So I went from Card Creator to this now after more than two years because the developers thought they could initially sell this software for 140 euros, I paid 34.29 euros now on sale. That sale price should be the standard price if Tabletop Tech wants people to actually make the investment. Enough about the pricing... The program is really good as long as you don't want to export for production with "The Game Crafter". There is no option to choose a specific pixel height/width for a card set, there are only presets that don't work with The Game Crafter.
I've used this software for quite a bit but the past couple days trying to use it I load up the software and all I get is a pink screen no matter what I do so I can't use it anymore i've been working on a game for 100 hours now and I can't continue on it, I don't know if it's driver issue I don't know if it's windows 11 issue but I hope it can get Remedied sooner rather than later.

I might have recommended this product if I could use it. I installed it a week ago and it worked fine. A week later I tried to continue with my project but the ability to edit was gone. Apart from basic input of text and images, the program was locked. Checked settings to find I had to login or create an account to use a desktop app - absurd. I clicked on the discord support button, and registered on their discord page. Still waiting for a verification email hours later. Tried to lodge a support ticket but for this you need to register with discord, so... end result - waste of time and money. For anyone interested, this program appears, at least at first, wanting - a shell of what could be. I managed to create a few cards at first but the process is not intuitive and you have to work things out on your own. Honestly, apart from the database and the structured template, you get more editing features and ease of use using microsoft publisher.
I've been using this heavily and it works great both for the export features, as well as printing. It has a steep learning curve but is much better for board games than indesign for exporting and saves a lot of time. If you want to use custom fonts and such you have to dump them in the appropriate folders of your project. It does have AI stuff, but you can easily ignore it if you don't need it too, I haven't bothered trying it though. Although not officially supported, I run it through proton on linux and it works wonderfully since it runs on unity, biggest issue I've faced with it is finding out where the files in the fake windows directory ended up.
As someone can easily see from the hours I already spent on TTC, it is a great prototyping tool, and my personal favourite. I am glad to see it still receiving updates. My only personal downside is the feature to create pictures with AI. Although I would personally like for the feature to be entirely removed, for ethical reasons, I appreciate that it is at least optional.
Recommended. I’ve been using Tabletop Creator Pro for a long time. Steam shows 655 hours, and that’s real work, not idle time. For board game development, this tool is about as close to an ideal solution as it gets right now. It’s actively developed, saves an enormous amount of time, and replaces a whole stack of separate tools. If you’re serious about making board games rather than just experimenting, this purchase more than justifies itself.
