The Synth Riders Beatmap Editor is a free tool for Windows that allows you to take your own music and choreograph movements to match! With this tool you can place notes, wallsand rails so that they synchronise with the music, which you can then load and play as a Custom Song in Synth Riders.

Synth Riders.
Great free tool to make your own maps. All praise be to the developers. Nice work gentlemen and ladies. Super simple to learn but hard to master. It keeps you learning and thinking of new things to try.
I'm still learning but really enjoy starting to map my first song
I think this editor is good. It's easy to use and you can change keybinds to your liking. I only have 2 issues so far with it. The first is that pressing play ends any special sections you're making (Long notes, special one hand, and special both hands) which makes them hard to time correctly, but bookmarking the places the notes should go before starting the section is a good enough way to fix this. The second is that I couldn't tell where the files save at first because the editor doesn't tell you (and I don't know if you can change the folder your maps save to.) It's a folder in the game's files called 'custom songs.' I should've looked there first to be honest. So it's kinda human error on my part. Some tips I have are: - Things in the editor often look higher than they are in game because of your initial camera position. So test often and make sure your map is in the position you want it to be. - Stay inside the rings but don't be afraid to enter the 'intermediate' and 'intense' zones. They will make your map more dynamic (be aware of your limits though, don't use 'intense' too often.) - Make use of bookmarks. They are likely to help you out.
The official way to expand Synth Riders to unlimited gameplay time. Make your own beatmaps for the songs you love and would like to ride. The learning curve may be slow (8 to 10 hours) but then you'll be able to make cool and professional maps.
I can't figure out how to play the track while mapping and that makes it impossible to use because everything is off with my mapping since I can't hear it. Everything else is good and takes time to learn but since there is no way i can play the track while editing/mapping or even the metronome, i can't recommend or use it. If there is some way to play it and i am just missing it (volume is up, tried different audio outputs, the app doesn't even show up in my sound mixer to begin with like my other audio output apps). Please let me know. I'd really like to map my own custom songs and i will edit my review
Super easy to use! works great even in BETA! Thank you so much for making this!
The devs are eager to go above and beyond to satisfy their gamers!! I often catch them in multiplayer mode I try not to be shy and take advantage of the opportunity to ask any questions or give any comments. They must take note because two days after I played with a dev, an update was available and my problem I was encountering the beat map editor software was solved! Thank you Little Asi! It is really fun to experience a map in the game that I created!!
maybe im just stupid but how does anyone actually figure out how to use this thing
This gave me a new appreciation for my favorite mapper Darnoc.
