It feels like someone from 2001 made this game and they just put VR infront of it to make it relevent. Also, Couldn't get past the Tutorial. Game kept Crashing after I finished it. Had to re-do it afew times and just gave up. Waste of time.
Played with the Vive: Since I didn't have anyone to talk to these are my impressions of the application alone without the chat feature. The environments were okay, controller support was good, movement was okay with the exception of the hover platform which was fun. What I'd like to see: A virtual pet to play with, The ability to listen to the music in different environments, maybe a movie theather where you can watch youtube videos with others. For a chat application I give it a 3.5 out of 5.

1. The teleport function has no clear indicator to where you will land 2. Physics and collision are not functioning 3. Dinosaurs and other animals have no impact i.e. no splash effect 4. the avatars are rigid and can not interact with the environment i.e. pick up someone else's maraca in the club 5. Falsly advertising the fact you can use Google Cardboard or another headset WITHOUT hand controllers 6. Menu doesn't come up when you press the grip button - sometimes I have to press it 16 times for it to appear 7. Falsly advertises leg, face and mouth tracking in it's advert as well as customising avatars facial features It needs a whole lot of work (maybe a couple of years and a couple of decent designers) for it to actually feature the lists of expectations described in it's trailer.
The dinosaur park was great, needs people to socialise with but just not the numbers in VR yet to make it possible. Pity as it's got real potential and could be fun with a load of friends. Worth trying and it's free
Possibly the most uncomfortable social VR hub I've visted. Compared to the simplistic style of Altspace and RecRoom, SurrealVR is head and shoulders above in terms of graphical complexity, yet despite this there is not a single clothing or model combination for your avatar that doesn't come across looking like a complete and utter d-bag, including the female avatars. Everything about the style and events makes it feel like it is specifically catering towards "mature audiences" as some sort of VR Second Life, but it winds up coming across rather seedy. This might be why the place is so empty. Though I haven't played extensively, the only person I've ever bumped into was apparently away from their headset at the time. Alternatively, it might just be because there's not really much of a quick start option so you can get into the meat of the content before deciding if you want to invest in the trouble of actually creating an avatar that suits your tastes. Despite this, there are still interesting areas to explore and different VR tools/toys to play with. I don't know if people are ready for adult oriented social VR interactions, but it's entirely dependent on the people who actually try this app and continue to use it that will decide what type of attitude will foster and thrive there. If a bunch of creeps (or just people who feel this is a good place to do creeping) then it could turn toxic very quickly, but if mature people actually go there to meet people and have real talk conversations, it could wind up filling a very important niche in the VR community. I recommend trying this at least for a few minutes each day over the course of a week. If you can actually find anyone real to talk to, it could be worth while.
I think they should start everyone in dinosaur location. It is so COOL! I didn’t experience anything like that on other VR titles. It’s not super realistic, that's not it. It’s that flying with the drone in jungle and you can see other people and talk… That was one of my favorite moment in VR. I can't believe they are not spawning everyone there!
A tech demo. Pros - maybe good with friends? Cons - just a list of levels you can enter but there is nothing to do really, paint and other nonsense - crashes, freezes, stuttering, 1 hard crash 2/10 rating.
SurrealVR is a VR social game. It worked on my Index and Vive system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Has plenty of customization and stuff to play with your avatar. This game is supposed to be cross-platform, so there should be many people playing around the game. CONS: - There is absolutely nobody playing this game. Currently in 2026, this social game is dead.
