About
So you are surfing at your local break, and you see waves off in the distance. You can’t help but wonder what do those breaks have to offer? Get a jet ski, get a map, talk to locals, and find out.
Explore a chain of tropical islands by foot, boat, and jet ski. Each island has its own break, its own characters, and its own story. If you want to dive deeper into the lore of the islands, explore by foot and interact with locals. If you want to surf, jet ski to a variety of breaks, free surf for high wave scores, or run contests and get on leaderboards. How much you explore or surf is up to you. The world is your oyster, or uh? maybe your turtle.
The lore of the islands get exposed through the interaction with the locals. You will find the pirate captains dilemma, the meaning of surfers code, the shapers secrets, and explore ancient temples, lighthouses, and more as you explore the islands and dodge danger.
The surfing is expression based physics simulation with one button control. Reading the wave and timing your turns is what separates the kooks from the pros. There is no correct way to surf the waves. The wave scoring and leaderboards will keep track of your progress and track your improvement. Both novice and pro players will enjoy the addictive experience of mastering a novel and unique surfing mechanic.
Discover new surf breaks across multiple islands, from long point breaks to shifty beach breaks, shallow reefs, and big wave spots.
Build your quiver. Boards aren't cosmetic, they change how the wave feels under your feet.
Win a jet ski and push out to the outer islands where the real mysteries start.
Compete on leaderboards at every break, or just surf for the score of it.
Talk to the right people, read the right journals, and the mysteries of the islands start to unravel.
It's a surf game with a mystery underneath it. Or a mystery game where you surf your way to the truth. Either way, the waves don’t care what you call it.
FAQ section
Why am I talking to a Seagull?
Answer: I don't know. Go and explore.
Any more questions?
Answer: Uh? No.
You are not bound to one explorer. Choose from a variety of players. But know that each player affects the physics in the game. Change players and change the feel of the game, especially in the surfing.

been looking for a good surfing game forever, this one is amazing, playing it nonstop on my steam deck. still needs a lot of work tho, movement on land and camera are super weird (on waves its good), npc surfers are kooks (i mean i love that they are there paddling around and stuff but the drop ins are off the charts, YOU KNOW DA RULEZ). But man the surfing itself its soooo satisfying. Love the fact that you can paddle around choosing the wave you want and that you dont push any buttons for tricks, just your movement, it just feels so good, THANKS MAN!
This game is a great and enjoyable game. The base mechanics work well, and the surfing itself has an excellent flow that feels both smooth and natural. I really like the small story elements scattered throughout, as they add depth and make it feel like more than just a simple surfing game where you go from spot to spot. The layout of the separate islands with each having their own unique breaks is very good. It encourages exploration and makes the experience engaging and fresh. As a surfer, I find the quality of the waves and general game play impressive—especially considering this is the work of a small developer. I’d 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a comedic, realistic and immersive surfing game if you can ignore the little bugs and enjoy the bigger picture. Considering the game has only just released and the cheap price tag I think it is definitely worth it. The only small problems i have is the barrels are not visually wide or long enough to tell your in them and it looks like your just in a foamball, the scoring system also struggles to detect when your in them as well. Also the leader-board doesn't update and some achievements saying I have not completed them such as getting a score of 20 or having all the boards.
I haven't played a surf game since kelly slater on PS1. It's good to see something new come out in the surfing world. It's got a fair amount of content it seems, although I found the controls a bit hard to get use to. Still early days as it was just released.
I had fun playing but did not go that deep into the lore
Waves looked cool. Reminded me of my surfing days. Was fun once I got used to the controls. Was cool to just swim around and check out the scenery also.
Great for surfers, unique and fun gameplay, definitely recomend this game!
its a cool idea. it should be cheaper. if you surf and have thought about making a game try this. the surfing is realistic. its a worldsim, so the gameplay mechanics dont feel centered around the surfing. but the npc dialog is pretty funny and the save-the-world plot seems like it could be cool but i havent gotten around to getting very far in it.
Surfers Code is a fast-paced and stylish action game with fluid movement and a chill vibe. The controls feel smooth, the visuals are clean, and the surfing-combat mix is surprisingly fun. It's a small game, but it's polished and perfect for quick sessions. Definitely worth a try if you enjoy momentum-based action.
Pretty fun surfing game. Decent graphics, sound is ok and controls are alright.I have lots of time on the demo and can say the devs are active and polite in discord. Now its no kelly slater pro surfer but its fun and sure it needs work and has bugs and i have played every surfing game out there and i can say with time this could turn into something real good! It has humor and more. Play the demo and understand the good breaks like shark island ,the reef, lighthouse and more are on the full game and offer way better waves and surfing than the demo.Buy on a sale and have fun.
It's a fun game with different scenario offering exploration via jet ski, contests, highly recommend
