this game has changed my life never have i felt so in touch with my emotions i truly feel like i am a super waifu in a ball rolling through the levels its truly an experience one might even say its orgasmic
Unfortunately the physics feel too clumsy in this one. The ball has a tendency to stumble and pop up even when traveling over smooth curves, and when bouncing the amount of redirect you get per bounce feels inadequate. In both cases it feels like you lack both fine control and conservation of momentum, since any kind of bouncing generally seems to slow you down and reduce your movement options. In particular, any levels with platforms that move sharply up and down feel frustrating because it seems like you have so little influence over your movement direction. You can optionally challenge yourself to grab all the star bits in a stage but I'm not sure why anyone would actually want to, since it often involves stuff like waiting for moving platforms to cycle, making full laps around stages or parts of stages, and doubling back when- as far as I know- there's no manual camera control. Yet, among the 20+ levels I played before requesting a refund, most seemed maybe too straightforward without collecting star bits (but too tedious / frustrating with). Maybe later levels are more inherently interesting, but the physics issues make me unwilling to progress further. The volume options seemed nonfunctional to me and I ran into a few technical issues like an achievement not triggering properly, the screen blacking out, and the UI focus switching when it probably shouldn't. Add to that the varying degrees of motion sickness I seem to suffer from this genre nowadays (admittedly on the milder side in this case) and I'm not personally willing to give the benefit of the doubt here.
The game isn't too bad, but I've never played a monkey ball game. I had issues with bouncing in this game. You have zero control when your ball makes contact with the ground again. It also becomes an issue with anything curved in this game. They're not perfectly smooth, meaning your ball will sometimes bounce on curved slopes and cause you to fly off the ma.p The game became a bit more tolerable in the later stage,s where there wasn't such an emphasis on jumps. But World 4 truly sucked because of it. Overall it's alright.
Super Monkey Ball but with waifus

Level 4 is already so ass i just stopped
THIS IS NOT MONKEYBALL! The game is obviously inspired by Super monkey ball. But it's not. It has it's own physics and you don't tilt the entire stage, you actually steer the ball. The Camera tries to sell the stage tilting but it does not. As long as you try to play it like you would play a super monkey ball you wont have a good time. So far I finished World 5/8 and I did every star in every level (completion, collect everything in the level, timed run), so I have a fair share of experience in the game. Super monkey ball is heavily focused on momentum. Super Waifu ball focuses more on the physics and precision. And this works really well once you play accordingly. The levels are nicely designed. There is alot of variety and no theme or gimmik overstays it's welcome. You collect waifus and mini waifus from a gacha machine which is neat if thats what you like. BUT: The game runs okayish. The is no vsync setting and even if you force it you have screen tearing (rx 9700ti). Some levels (for now 3 of the 60 I played) are just terribly made and are 100% rng. There are levels where you are expected to roll with perfect speed and bounce on a plattform that raises exactly every 2 seconds out of the ground and you need to clip the border of that platform while it raises in the exact angle to bounce of a wall. All this is made worse by the STATIC camera, which you can only passively control. This is probably made to hide the fact that you don't tilt the stages? In another level you have to roll down a hill and bump into a little border in order to jump across a big gap. There is nothing you can do besides roll against the border, let go of everything and pray you make it. You have to do this twice in that level. I even used a TAS to test it and with the exact same inputs you get different results everytime. I did it, but it was frustrating and it took me probably 90 tries. Appart from that I had alot of fun with the game. And most levels that are RNG heavy only suck if you want to 100% every level. Getting through is alot easier than collecting all stars. FINAL NOTE: This game is not for archievement hunters since many just don't work. Even basic ones like "Unlock World 4". Kind of rng what you get. And since not one player has the archivement to collect all figurines I guess those are bugged too, because the game is hard, but not as hard as super monkey ball so I can't imagine that noone got this by now. Would buy if you like the concept and played super monkey ball to death. would by if you don't take it too serious and like waifus and collecting things. Other than that, it's hard to recommend it in it's current state. IF DEV READS THIS: Please just make the cam controllable via right stick or something. This takes 10 minutes of work and would improve the game alot. And add vsync in the options. Why is this not there? Might also be the reason for the random outcomes with collisions?
I wish i could give this a neutral review but i can't. There was some good parts, but overall it was a bit frustrating. PROS: - Nice character models. - Nice background environments in the levels. - Some fun levels, not many tho because of the bounce physics. CONS: - You have no control over the camera and it's really difficult to go back and get the other stars because of it. - Bad physics leading to constant bouncing and you have no control when bouncing. - 3 achievements are broken and impossible to get. Can't 100% the game, only 87%. - A lot of frustrating levels because of the bounce physics 5/10 Would be a 8 or 9/10 if it wasn't for the horrible bounce physics, bad camera and the 3 broken achievements. I will update my review if any or all of them are fixed.
Super monkey ball avec des waifu sa marche bien
A blatant rip-off. Most of the levels are straight from monkey ball. No air movement really kills any control you have. The waifus are just palette swaps, no different voices or anything.
