Super Taco Crew

I really hate to do this to a smaller developer, especially considering how lovely the game's art and general vaporwave aesthetics are but the story was a complete miss for me. The writing is choppy and very rushed feeling, lacking any real narrative flow, and the game never stops long enough to develop or flesh out any character in any meaningful way except for perhaps Edgar, who's mostly a sop. I don't have a problem with a more downtrodden protagonist-see Dave from PasswordVN as a positive example-but Edgar just...doesn't have much going on. Everybody else is pretty interchangeable and unmemorable and if I can echo one of the other reviews here, seemed placed for convenience sake more than anything. Edgar is set-up as a down-on-his luck schlub yet that gets undercut by a lot of the other cast members, most of who are 1-D and all too eager to trip over themselves to lend him a helping hand. The cyberpunk style which is nice to see and underutilized in FVNs is just kind of...there, and feels like more of an afterthought; minus a robot fight or two and the occasional piece of futuristic tech this could have just as easily been a typical slice of life VN set in modern day with a few parts moved around. Again, I don't say this to be hateful or mean-spirited, and I hope the author is able to work on and improve their writing, but I can't really recommend this one, unless you don't particularly care about an engaging narrative and just want to rush through for the illustrations.

really liked this game, the art was nice and definitely my favorite aspect! ngl i listened to my own music so i won't say anything abt the music LOL but ya. i can admit i wasn't a big fan of the pacing or the fact that 99% of the choices rlly don't have any affect, but still had a nice time. also was a little disappointed in the fact that only one character route is available but also i love james and he's so find so IDC! wish we could spend time with other characters too but like i said, so in love with james so... ya. plus not every VN has to be a pick your romance sim so

Great story, great atmosphere, great characters, and even music I easily recognized from other games I've played in the past.

Definitely worth playing! It's like seeing an action movie! The art, music, and plot work together to give the movie-like experience!

This game was so sad, but so good.

It's only really viable if you forget the most, if not the entire story. TO MY KNOWLEDGE, there's only 2 endings. Its pretty obvious which decision it is when you get to it, so its not hard to get either endings. Most choices don't have too much of an impact in the long run. - WORTH BUYING - 🔲 No ☑️Depends 🔲 Wait for sale 🔲 Buy it! Right Now, you will not regret. If you're coming here for an super in depth story, then you've come to the wrong place. But, the story that it does have, is a neat ride if you just ignore issues and try your best to actually enjoy it. - Conclusion - If you don't have an interest in furries, then I wouldn't recommend it. It's a big part of what carries this game. However, if you like furries (and boy-kissing), then I'd recommend it. It's far from the greatest VN, but its a nice little pickup. It's a fun (despite the issues) few hours of game-play. While, it doesn't offer too much, its still a fun way too pass the time. Also, the game has pretty much NOTHING to do with the Taco Crew, so I don't know why that's the name of the game.

The music and artstyle are really good but the story is kinda meh. Still better than most VNs
