Super Retro BoxBot

I have never played a game that has made me so mad, hate it so much, and want to punch my monitor so much... All while wanting to finish it out of pure spite. I love it. That all said, it doesn’t change the fact that every time I play it I start crying as my chat laughs at me and my smooth brain as I hope I accidentally figure the levels out.

Pros: - Nostalgic. Has retro graphics and plays almost identically to Blockdude which I played on my calculator about 15 years ago - Has two new additions that Blockdude didn't have: elevators and keys. These make levels more interesting. - You can undo your moves, and place one "save point" in each level. - Relatively high replayability: each level has a "par" and a "dev" score, that give you a number of moves that you have to beat the level in, in order to get a little icon on the level select screen and unlock some achievements. The "dev" score is often the fewest number of moves possible, or close to it, and the "par" score is a bit higher than that. Beating the "par" score on some levels is really challenging, and I have no idea how to beat the "dev" score on most levels. - Some levels have an extra object you can collect that unlocks a bonus level. - The levels are challenging without being too challenging, and there are a lot of them (66 total, much more than Blockdude). The first few levels are really easy, but they quickly get more challenging, and trying to beat the "par" and "dev" scores is fun. - There is a level editor with the ability to share levels with others. I haven't messed with the level editor at all yet. Cons: - The only negative I can think of is that it's the same background music and graphics for every level. Some variety would have been nice, but it's not that big of a deal for me. Overall, this is a simple but challenging puzzle game. Recommended if you like puzzle games.

This game really makes you think. It is a great mind puzzle and fun for all ages. My whole family really enjoys figuring out where to place the boxes next. My son whom is autistic, really got a kick out of this game and it was a great sensory tool used for problem solving. Highly recommend giving this game a try if you haven't yet, you won't regret it!

An amazing puzzle Game. I enjoy playing retro style puzzle games and this is one of the best. The game has a wide variety of levels which range from relaxing to insanely challenging. The game shines because its easy game-play and challenging puzzles. Overall, a great game and recommended for anyone who likes robots and solving puzzles.

I did not realize how much I love, love, love box-stacking games. This and Pilapia are such treasures, both games doing the same thing in their own distinct way. I played it so much I even beat one of the developer's minimum move scores. If this looks even remotely interesting, don't hesitate. Cozy brain candy.

Really love the new Super Retro BoxBot game! It is fun, as well as, VERY CHALLENGING! Highly recommend this game to all ages, young and old! I really love the RETRO feel of this game, it brings back old memories with a new modern feel with great graphics!

В Super Retro BoxBot все сделано правильно (или почти) все. Здесь простая на вид головоломка заставляет вас с каждым новым уровнем думать масштабнее, глубже и дальше. Сразу скажу, что не обращайте внимание на графику, ведь она здесь лишь для галочки, хотя симпатичная, да большего и не надо. Весь геймплей - это цель провести нашего робота к Выходу (Exit). Для этого нужно использовать подручные (хотя рук у робота конечно же нет))) средства. В основном это ящики. Мы их выстраиваем таким образом, чтобы залезть куда-то, добраться и выйти. Сложность хорошая, но Вы справитесь! Я верю в Вас! Играл сам на геймпаде XBox. Играется нормально, но немного нужно привыкнуть - быстро достаточно. Единственное замечание (но может это я такой игрок) в том, что робот у меня почему-то на месте не разворачивается, в ролике я это несколько раз показываю и жалуюсь на это. Но может быть просто я так управлял игрой. В общем и целом отличная встряска для мозга, когда уже хочется не просто во все подряд стрелять, а и еще убедиться, что в черепной коробке есть вещество, и было бы замечательно, если бы оно оказалось серого цвета ))) Всем рекомендую, а если не смотрели еще видео, то вот и оно - https://youtu.be/-pPbz4KnBEo

My favorite part was when Boxbot said "it's boxing time" and boxed all over the place (In all seriousness this is a cute and fun lil game that's actually pretty challenging, give it a try!)
