how someone can develop a game with such bad controls is beyond me like what even goes through your mind when making these controls , and the game actually looks fun
I have no idea what people hate about the controls. They feel perfect to me... old RC Pro Am/Biker Mice/Rock N Roll Racing style turning and skidding, but you can drift for much tighter turning and immediately power out of that with a boost. I prefer classic style, cuz I've played enough of these the feel is burned into my brain, and they're solidly done. You have a little extra wiggle than the old 8/12 way facing, which you'll need here and there. A little tap will turn a gradual wall collision into a straightaway, with no visual change in the car, you just drive slightly different direction. If you use the full 360 analog mode you need to let off the stick instead of just ramming it into various directions. Taps and little direction changes, whip hard during drifts. Anyway, decently put together game. It's a bit short, with not too many tracks, but the challenge does improve over time. By the time you hit the circuits you should have picked your favorite car in that class and maxed it out, or else you're gonna be having a pretty tricky time. Circuits have VERY good AI opponents who ride the line, drift tight and nitro at good times. Still very beatable, but taking high speed cars and knowing the tracks so you're drifting in all the right places helps a lot. Would probably wait for it to be on sale but yeah, no input lag here, and 4p local multiplayer is an awesome feature to have in this age.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

For whatever reason this game is screwed up on aspect ratio for your monitor resolution, doesn't matter what native resolution you have. It's got potential to be a legit RC Pro Am successor but until they fix the resolution issue, thumbs down.

Hilarious racing. Take tank-style controls, it's hard but fun.
Super Pixel Racers is a lively and energetic top-down arcade racer that blends modern responsiveness with the visual language of 16-bit classics. Developed by 21c.Ducks Co., Ltd. and published by H2 Interactive, the game makes an immediate impression with its pixel-art aesthetic: bright colors, chunky sprites, explosive effects, and tracks filled with personality. It clearly aims to evoke the excitement of retro racing while offering enough contemporary flair to make it engaging for today’s players. The premise is simple—race, drift, boost, win—but the execution shows surprising dedication to variety. Whether you’re barreling across desert circuits or sliding along snow-covered curves, the game embraces a playful, fast-paced identity that never takes itself too seriously. At the heart of the experience lies the drifting and nitro system, which defines how each race unfolds. Sliding through corners builds your nitro meter, and unleashing that boost becomes essential not just for speed, but for navigating track layouts that often feature sharp turns, jump ramps, and sudden obstacles. Mastery of the drift-boost rhythm is what separates a competent run from a triumphant one. The driving offers two control schemes—a more modern directional mode and a classic left-right steering method—allowing players to pick the style that suits their instincts. When everything clicks, the game feels wonderfully fluid, with cars whipping around corners and rocketing down straights in a way that captures the classic arcade sensation of total momentum. Super Pixel Racers also distinguishes itself through its broad offering of modes. The career mode introduces multiple event types, such as standard races, time attacks, drift-focused challenges, destruction-based takedown events, and survival-style hunts. Each brings its own pace and strategy, preventing the experience from slipping into monotony early on. As you progress, you unlock vehicles with different strengths—speed, handling, acceleration—and upgrade pathways that provide incremental improvements. These systems aren’t deeply complex, but they create a satisfying sense of progression that encourages players to revisit events to improve their standings or chase gold rankings. The track variety, though limited in number, features enough environmental distinction to keep the early hours engaging, and the escalating difficulty ensures that the game gradually demands tighter control and quicker decision-making. Local multiplayer is one of the game’s strongest features, turning its hectic races into chaotic yet joyous couch-co-op moments. Friends crash, squeeze, and drift together on shared screens, and the simplistic design makes it easy for newcomers to jump in. The online component exists as well, but activity levels vary significantly, making it more of a bonus than a reliable mode. Still, the inclusion of both local and online multiplayer demonstrates an effort to support different play styles and bring back the communal feel of retro racing nights. Despite its many strengths, Super Pixel Racers carries some noticeable limitations. The top-down view and driving physics require an adjustment period; players unfamiliar with this perspective may initially find the controls slippery or overly sensitive. Some have noted mild input delays, which can make precise steering more challenging, especially in modes where tight drifting is essential. Additionally, while there is variety in race types, the actual environments and track designs begin to repeat after extended play. Customization options are modest, limited mostly to car stats and color changes, which means players looking for deeper tuning or aesthetic personalization may find the systems too shallow. Because the game leans heavily into its arcade roots, these constraints are understandable but still important to consider depending on your preferences. Overall, Super Pixel Racers succeeds in capturing the charm and adrenaline of old-school arcade racing while offering enough modern enhancements to make the experience feel fresh. Its strengths lie in its accessible mechanics, satisfying drift-and-boost loop, and a generous selection of race types that keep the action lively. It is especially rewarding when played with friends, where its fast pace and snappy races shine brightest. While its limited customization, modest track variety, and occasional control quirks prevent it from becoming a genre standout, it remains a vibrant and enjoyable racer that offers hours of energetic fun for players who appreciate retro-inspired design. In the end, Super Pixel Racers is best approached as a spirited, nostalgia-driven ride—one that delivers fast thrills, colorful presentation, and a delightful arcade punch without overstaying its welcome. For fans of top-down racers or anyone seeking a light, accessible racing game with enough personality to stand out, it’s an experience worth taking for a few laps. Rating: 6/10
