About
What if every upgrade was conditional and unique?
In Super Chaos, you will nuke a petri dish in a frantic physics experiment where everything reacts, collides, bounces, implodes, and mutates.
This is a top‑down physics arcade with procedural elements, where you dash manually, attack automatically, and try to survive waves of extremely fast eldritch enemies.
You choose mutations before each run and upgrades before each level... but nothing here is boring like "+5% damage." No, every upgrade is extreme, weird, and game‑changing.
A giant Rock that pinballs enemies across the arena
Blasts that smash enemies into walls for bonus damage… and sometimes bounce them back into you
Rifts that pull enemies in, then implode, granting you temporary Rift Armor that protects you but blocks healing
Wisp weapons wander chaotically and apply Hex, making enemies insane, burning them, and giving you lifesteal
Antihex slows enemies and makes them vulnerable to wall/rock hits
Annihilation triggers when Hex and Antihex collide, causing explosive effects
Stay immortal as long as you walk on… corpses?
Sacrifice your dash to gain a gravitational pull that drags every enemy toward you
Freeze all enemies when you get hit, dealing damage based on their previous velocity
Become invisible (with the right upgrades), causing enemies to fall asleep when they can’t see you
The arena pulses and shrinks
There’s even an upgrade that lets you control the shrinking and turn the arena walls into you weapon
Eldritch visuals and unsettling sound design
Asset‑less graphics rendered in DX12
GPU‑simulated water
Built from scratch in C++ without an engine
Reviewers call it "unique"... but all it is is CHAOS

So, this game is fun. I found it is pretty good for relaxation. It's easy to understand and no tutorial is needed. While trying new mutations this game lacks precise description what you choose, it gives just a pointer where it can lead, so no +10% to damage, -20% to enemy speed, etc. You learn eerything empirically and this is super fun. On the fourth wave you were calmly destroying enemies, and on the fifth they suddenly begin to bounce from the wall with high velocity, so you end up finding yourself under crossfire, what is fun! I managed to even laugh out load when I lost like this, as it was pretty unexpected to me. Finally, in general, for now, game is easy and fun. Feels good after a long intelectual work to reboot yourself.
The real highlight here is the tech, the gfx are incredible aswell as the sound design. There's enough game to be interesting and it's surprisingly challenging too, but the game suffers a bit from programmer brain, where we program for programming's sake and the user is secondary. For example, while the upgrades and interactions are all really cool and unique, as a user I don't have to interact with the mechanics any further than "take item with keywords I already have" which is a shame. Like, make me work for upgrades (gather coin so I can spec into what I want between rounds) or make decisions more strategic (different builds for different enemy types; mutations have more tradeoffs). Either way a really unique and cool game and definitely worth 3 bucks. There's a lot of potential there and I'll keep an eye out for whatever Anodaxia releases next!
I found out about this game through an online post from the dev and I was intrigued by the unique style and simulated graphics and I mean, it's impressive and very cheap right now but it's still missing a fair bit. UI/UX is lacking the most, there's major issues with readability and clarity of what's happening on screen at times and a lot of information is poorly explained or missing. Gameplay/Balance-wise it's not as bad but there's only a small amount of core mechanics and it feels like an even smaller amount of them are actually viable to the point where I can pretty consistently go AFK if I get 2-3 specific powers but struggle if I get anything else. The sound design pretty nice, although the directional audio is kinda jarring and probably was better left out. Right now there's only 1 achievement for finishing a run with every mutation which takes maybe 2-3 hours and by then you've more than seen everything it has to offer. It's enjoyable for what it is right now, but I'm interested in seeing how it would look like after more time in the oven.
I play all the survivorslikes, and it's always a joy when you come across one that's doing things different. This one has a few unique variations going for it: there are just 3 weapons, and the build variation comes from how you mix them and their upgrades. The art is trippy and cool. And there's a giant "pebble" you run into to slam around the screen, turning the game into a crazy roguelite air hockey game. Plays really well on the deck. Definitely worth your 3 bucks.
Super
I like it
I really enjoy this game for its quick roguelike bursts when I want a pallet cleanser game or just a short amount of free time. The game mechanics feels very impactful and the deck building aspects force you to change things up each time to see different parts of the game.
Really solid title for the price. I've played more expensive titles with less entertainment value. The developer is pretty cool too.
Mesmerizing visuals. It's literally all done in realtime and it looks wild. Not really like anything I've played before.
fun little survivors-ish gem with a rad aesthetic and really great sound design. had a lovely few hours figuring out the rules and trying a new unlock/build with each (delightfully short) run. a bit on the obtuse side (which i personally love,) and the visual communication can be a bit chaotic, but definitely worth a few hours to see the all the unique ideas here.
