Aye Aye Captain!
Sunken Stones is a fun, tactical game! It's quite challenging if you don't properly plan out your attacks, but extremely rewarding when you do! There's a ton of characters (crew) to use which leads to some dope combos and maybe even some potentially OP stuff, which, fun! The music is awesome and really gives pirate vibes, and the visuals are great. Visuals are great too! Looking forward to seeing whatever future updates are to come, whether content or just quality of life. TL;DR -- dope game is dope.
Very fun and addictive. I like the mechanic where you can change your hand/crew during battles and how it balances with the penalties you get from opening chests. I had to be careful with how I used the crew and give a well thought to the cards I needed with the captain I was playing. For later captains I was unlocking, the more challenging I found the game, but in the good way. Their advantages were interesting but their weaknesses were also more noticeable, so you play them with a different strategy. I recommend the game!
This is a really fun game that would be great on mobile! It took a few rounds to find the groove and learn the rules, but once it clicks I found the strategy to be surprisingly deep. The game gives the impression that it's going to be easy but then you quickly realize that every choice matters, even placing your units down on a board clear of enemies can make or break your run. Sunken Stones finds a good balance of simplicity and strategy. I'm not trying to get lost in the sauce with a game like Civ, but I also want a game that pushes back against me. Sunken Stones hits a good sweet spot. The runs end up taking longer than you'd expect. It's a fun game to kickback and play while sipping a drink and listening to a podcast/watching a stream. It should be noted that I've run into a couple of minor bugs but the developer is extremely attentive and would often implement a fix for my reports in under an hour. Nothing game breaking or experience souring though. Overall, I'm happy to recommend this game and looking forward to more content updates.
Cool art ,charming crew members.A chill time, runs on pretty much anything Solid game that rewards strategic thinking. Simple base mechanic but a whole lot of options in terms of crew members. Potential for build crafting is high and the various crew unlock requirements are interesting targets to aim for. A Thumbs up from me 👍
Sunken Stones is a fun turn-based strategy game where you deploy your Marvel Snap-like crew members to fight the monsters of the deep. The game offers interesting decisions, both on the tactical level (how to deal with the current board) and strategically (which upgrades to take, which crew members to hire and dismiss). Gameplay is fast and tight, and having just four crew members allows you to focus on the current challenge as opposed to managing a sprawling hand. Lastly, there is *tons* of content, with many captains (= starting powers) to choose from, crew members to hire, and levels to explore. Highly recommended!! (I've played a bunch of the demo and finally bought the game, so my play time is much higher.)
Fun stuff. Easy to get into, characters have unique and interesting effects. Some of the mechanics could be better explained but definitely something I would sink hours into.
Have been really enjoying playing this. It's a low stress, playful kind of game by strategy standards. It doesn't demand hour long sessions, so I've been playing it on and off whenever I have a bit of spare time. There's a lot of different crew and different captains and different missions, so I've by no means got all the tactics right yet, but it's definitely solid gameplay. Good character designs too.
It is a fun little distraction that will let your time slip away if you aren't paying attention. Mechanics are cool and combos are expected, Some much stronger than others. Some balancing is definitely in order because some unit(s) can be auto-wins if used correctly. Lots of information comes at you fast at the start, don't press anything until you properly digest each snippet of info or you might skip and put yourself at a serious disadvantage.
In Sunken Stones, you play as a pirate who must strategically deploy crewmates onto a board to fight off monsters and collect treasure. The game presents you with meaningful choices in how you handle enemies and obstacles. You can deploy crew members, deploy items, recruit new crewmates, and make decisions that balance boosts with curses. You can also unlock new captains with different abilities. Very interesting gameplay.
Great little tactical card game. Lay down crew members to combat the perils of the sea! Different captains and crew to play with, all with different effects and combinations. Pretty simple but good fun!
