Easy to Pick up, Surprisingly Addicting! Each Class has a different approach to the fight, and as you progress you feel the power up, you get another level further, another boss further, another sense of accomplishment. What I thought was going to be a "this class def is the one to play" turned out that they all were able to compete. I prefer the Mage, Warrior or Paladin. Very Satisfying Gameplay Loop! Update Janaury 15 2026 - The New Weapon system added in the last patch is awesome! It freshens up the gameplay loop quite a bit and has added more variety and spiced up my runs! The constant updates for balancing and the feel of each class is well on its way, and I cant wait to see what the Dev does next!
Just bought the game, a few hours in. So far the game is fun and I am looking forward to seeing what updates come next! Will post an update after I have more hours in. What is great is the dev also listens to input! So if you see something wrong or are interested in the development of the game, let it be known!
Just a disclaimer: I've played a lot of the game when it was being built, pre-release on Steam. I really enjoy the gameplay loop, has big Heroes of Hammerwatch vibes to it. Every class feels unique and different enough (for me) that I can't wait to play the others again and see the subclasses & what they offer. As someone who doesn't really care about how a game looks (as long as it isn't too ugly) I don't mind the presentation of the game. Music and sound's fine, graphics make me feel like I'm playing the old FF games again, which I like. I like the game, it's a lot of fun. Can't wait to sink my teeth into the official release!
This game starts great and just keeps getting better the more you play. The permanent upgrades actually make you feel like you're progressing! The variety of skills and classes is excellent - the classes genuinely change how the game plays. It's easy to say "one more run" and suddenly realize an hour has disappeared. Super addicting in the best way! What really stands out is how much potential this game has. Even in it's current state, it's already a blast, and it feels like the foundation for something even bigger. I'm genuinely excited to see what this developer does next, because they are consistently putting out new updates! Highly recommend if you enjoy roguelikes!
I went into this not really being a “roguelite person,” so I honestly didn’t expect to get hooked but now I see why people in the comments said it’s addictive. Once the relics start stacking the runs really open up. I kept telling myself “just one more” way more than I planned. There is a bit of a learning curve at first if you’re new to the genre like I am, but once things click it’s a lot of fun experimenting with different classes and builds. The gameplay loop is super satisfying and it always feels like you’re making a little progress each run. If you like action games or just want something you can pick up for a quick run (that turns into like… five runs), this is definitely worth checking out.
The game is addicting
Insanely fun game! Come for the nostalgia of the retro look and feel, stay for the replayability with different classes and a robust suite of upgradable stats and relics to power you through runs and bosses. There’s enough flexibility to appeal to both the casual gamer looking to spend a few minutes unwinding at the end of the day without a deep commitment and to the hard core grinder looking to hack and slash their way to the top of multiple leaderboards. This game is addicting and it’s easy to find yourself saying “ok, this is the last run today” for an hour.
I tried this new game & it was shockingly fun. I needed a controller to make any real progress on the game, but it was quick to get the hang of. I'm not much of a gamer, but I easily got lost in it for 2 hours. Very fun!
Fun game with addictive appeal. Actively being developed and improved. I love the variety of classes and strategizing upgrades.
Simple yet extremely addictive. Having the ability to make the enemies stronger as I progress is a fun mechanic that gives great replayability.
