[h1]Sexual Content[/h1] There are seventy five sex-scenes using fifteen base, sexual CGs with variations for progression and climax. There are additional nude CGs throughout the game, but they are not used in sexual context. I loved the friendly banter between the protagonists as they lose themselves. The main protagonists are a middle aged mother with a thing for “young girls” and a submissive virgin succubus. It’s an interesting take on a succubus character; typically, they are depicted as hypnotizing and dominant, but in this story Nerisha is a slave to Serena’s overwhelming sluttiness. The game is packed with consensual lesbian romance. There is a [b]ton[/b] of kissing throughout the story, including several sex-scenes dedicated to tongue-on-tongue action. There’s fingering, scissoring and licking — but there’s also some futa content, where Nerisha sprouts a dainty wiener and pumps her companion full of ♥♥♥. I thoroughly enjoyed the models, but I wish the backgrounds made a little more sense. Succubus Research Diary is a Yuri Story between a researcher and a succubus. As the main parts of such people would be researching and sex, that is also what this VN offers you. Its about half insight into succubi, half them having all kinds of sex and of course a bit of relationship development. This makes this quite a simple story and probably not something everyone will enjoy, however I personally quite liked the interactions between the two women and the succubi facts were quite interesting. The writing and translation are also good which is always very important to me as either of those can make a VN a chore to read through. The art, sound effects and background music are all pretty nice and definitelly an improvement to arcus plumes previous works. Overall, its quite good for what it is. If you are just looking for a nice, cute and very steamy read then I can recommend trying it as it offers at least 4 hours of content and is pretty inexpensive. To be able to explore the undergrounds they have to go through a Makai Portal, a transportation method similar to teleportation. Sadly, after some unforeseen events, Serena gets separated from her team and finds herself alone in unfamiliar surroundings. After exploring further ahead she comes across a house covered by vegetation. As she gets closer, she triggers a magical barrier that detects her intrusion and so she meets a young Succubus named Nerisha. To avoid conflict, Serena decides to tell the truth and after a bit of exchanging words we find out that Nerisha never had any sex before. Serena, being very accustomed in this subject, proposes an idea to Nerisha: "If you are willing to let me stay in your home, I can help you experience all kinds of sexual desires you may have for a couple of days". Under this proposal, Serena hides the fact that she is mostly interested in researching how Succubi's magical power improves through sexual intercourse. This starts our adventure of pleasure with a Succubus. With this, we start to learn and go about having sex. We go through each of the different poses and actions possible, and by progressing through the sex acts we also unlock further poses. From a simple kiss to deep tongue kissing to boob sucking and labia licking, to various positions like Cowgirl, doggy style, and missionary position, everything is included. Following this fashion, we are also able to get information from Nerisha. We have 4 different subjects: charm, magic, relations, and botany. With each of these classes we unlock further features and knowledge from the Succubus world. The game also features different endings depending on the choices we make at the end of the game. The choices during the story do not seem to play a major influence. All are good endings in their own way, there are no bad endings available. The art style is different from other Visual Novels but has its own appeal that stands out from the standard look. The character sprites do not move, but different facial expressions and poses are present. The menu features a gallery with all available CGs shown during the game. The game is completely unvoiced but features an enjoyable piano and guitar backdrop. During "sex" there are slight noises to hear that emphasize the sexual acts. [h1][b]Achievements:[/b][/h1] We have in total 17 featured achievements on Steam for the game, they are all relatively easy done for the achievement hunters. [h1][b]Overall Thoughts:[/b][/h1] Succubus Research Diary felt a lot like a school session on learning how to have sex. We go over a lot of possible positions and actions with some explanation from Serena and naturally experience coming out from going through the actions. The setup with unlockable positions, affection increase, and also the research abilities improving the possible sex acts and duration is a good feature. The unique art style is good but with all colors being pastel-like it finds itself with a mostly monotone atmosphere, but that's understandable considering the location. If someone is curious to know more about sex I think this game suits very well as a learning material in the matter. To round it up, the game was filled with a decent amount of humor throughout the story which made the read quite enjoyable.
