I normally don't play a lot of games of "this type", but this game deserves a special shoutout, primarily for its' combat. Initially I had a tough time getting used to the controls, but there is a lot of variety in terms of the enemies you fight, the abilities you can learn, and how to approach encounters which I was very suprised with. I did a whole playthrough of this first on normal, then on affection (highest difficulty). The start of affection difficulty reminded me of the start of Dark Souls (Undead Burg), but the difficulty curve of the remainder of the game was much more lenient and overall easier than Dark Souls 1 or Castlevania 1. Since this is an RPG where your character is guaranteed to get stronger each day (as long as you make sensible food choices), I would recommend affection difficulty for this game. There are some caveats to consider, like with most games. At least to me, the controls were pretty strange and took me a while to get a handle on (I'm used to playing sidescrollers with a controller). The plot is OK, but very barebones. Although there are many abilities, they are really unbalanced and a handful are way more useful (Slimeball, Vine Strike, Sylph Storm) than the rest (Black Hole, Holy Crush, Power Slash, Flower Laser, Ice Dragon's Blade, ect.). Also, if you (somehow) forgot to install the patch from the publisher's website, your experience would most certainly be different from my review. Still, I always like to see RPGs where you can struggle with an enemy not just because of their stats, but then learn more about the combat and come back stronger to beat them - a similar sense of accomplishment that you could get from Dark Souls you can also get here, somehow. Also... Vine Strike is extremely useful outside of combat, you should try that.
a peak game, just this is a absolutley peak...
唯一的缺点,键位太逆天了,克服了一个多小时最终被斩于马下
