This game is a slow horror burn for those who are afraid of deep waters. After the recent update it added a jump while you're under water and makes the game 10000% more fun and you can explore so much. I had the great experience of the dev popping into my stream (very kind person) and was able to discuss possible future additions to the game and am very excited for future additions!
I've always loved procedural games...and extraction games. My time playing Lethal Company solo with balancing mods will attest to that. This game scratches that itch. I'm not sure how the POI generation works. Be it you're encountering static POIs in a random order or generated based on rooms/modules like how Lethal Company (and most procedural dungeons) do it. But I'm still having a ton of fun docking on locations and just looting everything I could find. Weapons and enemies are a bit clunky...but it doesn't take away from the thick atmosphere and fun looting. Get it. Edit: I've asked the dev how generation works. And yes, it is modular for generating the locations. So really that goes to show how well the generation has been made if I thought the coral reefs and ship wrecks were handcrafted. There's been a couple times that I noticed module clipping in the facility maps, but other than that...fantastic job with the generation.

I really enjoyed exploring the creepy depths of the ocean in Submersible. There seem to be endless different monster types, ocean anomalies and equipment upgrades.
Boat go down. Bubbles go up. A great dive into a spooky underwater exploration

Finally, a good underwater horror game. Those are rare! It has a great, tense atmosphere throughout. The deeper you dive, the more rewarding it becomes, but also more dangerous. If your sub implodes, you lose all progress from that run. The levels are interesting and complex, and unexpected events keep things engaging. There are lots of thoughtful details, and you can upgrade your equipment to explore even deeper.
I'm enjoying it, maybe you will too.
This game is a surprise in the good sense. I love Subnautica, but you only see the terror of the ocean when you go to the dead zone. seeing nothing in front of you, except the random fish or medusa here and there. This game use this "I cant barely see" a lot better, and i like the base upgrade system. Even then, i hate that we can only use 1 object at a time, and the shoulder flashlight is too weak and dont recharge (or take a lot for it). Some enemies like the spiders could use some balancing so you can destroy their nest before they jump out. All and all, im having fun with it.
Way too buggy and tedious. I'd rather play lethal.
Love this game! Somewhere in between a spooky and cosy game, I'm really enjoying exploring the depths and discovering all the lore. I find myself always trying to squeeze one more dive in, kinda addictive gameplay! There seems to be tonnes of environments and monsters, and still so much left to uncover with upgrades to my dock and equipment. One of my fave things to do is listen to the radio on the dock, and there have definitely been a few scream worthy moments whilst exploring. Easy mode was a nice addition, thanks to the dev for putting that in for unseasoned gamers like me. Overall excited to continue playing and finish the storyline!
