Reviews
Its a little rough around the edges, and the max resolution is 1080p. but game-play is fun, there are bugs, and stutters. if you alt tap the ground may go black when you return to the game or the game may crash, it really doesnt like alt tab. the ui is.. unique. It feels like its from the early 2000s yet is modern. there is a very limited settings menu and un-checking the full screen box doesn't really do anything except allow you to alt tab, but if you don't have a 1080p monitor then its a game of hide and seek to find the options to reset to full screen. overall the game is alot of fun, there trails and custom skirmishes, the warlord is a nice addition, even if it can be annoying in game. there is a learning curve in this game that i didn't see in previous stronghold games. there aren't alot of ai to play with or against, and the maps are small, common stronghold problem. the unit limit is also low. it seems like there is a pop limit for the map and it varies depending on the map size and number of players, but can definitely be annoying. bought it on sale, in the current state and not expecting updates or dlc content its a solid 10-15$ game thats if you only play trails, multiplayer and custom skirmishes. if you like the stronghold campaigns and play through them then there's a lot more content to play and its probably worth more to you. i don't ever play the campaigns in the stronghold series they never keep my attention, so i look for the skirmish trails and the custom skirmish as the only real content ill spend time in.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Türk havası versin diye Moğol dlc'sini aldım. Bunu oynamaya da sıram gelecek. Fena oyun değil.
Now I get the mixed reviews. Mine is a thumbs down as well but I'm leaving a positive review because it's actually a well-made game. The good: Fresh new take on the series. Beautiful game. Lots of love from devs and lots of content. Runs smooth and plays well. Awesome new mechanics and quality of life. I.e. I love how you can control rations for different types of foods to boost popularity. The bad: N/A so far, will update if I play more. The Ugly: It doesn't scratch that Stronghold itch. You Stronghold OGs will know what I'm talking about :)

Definitely recommended on sale! There is some fun to be had, only bug I've encountered so far has been archers not shooting when expected, but hasn't happened often for me when you make sure they have good LOS. Is it as good as the originals? I don't think it quite matches up but that doesn't make it bad. I honestly expected worse with the reviews it gets. Edit (July 13, 2024 - 19.9 hours): I have encountered more bugs, mainly pertaining to unit movement and voice-line playback. I don't feel that it has been game breaking, but definitely would not recommend at full price.
Good game, no reason to hate it!
