Strike Solitaire

Currently unable to give this game a positive review, but I am hoping this will change. The biggest issue stems from what appears to be a total lack of support. The game combines card play with bowling, but I am unable to figure out how to get a score better than 270 because the final two 'balls' of the tenth frame are automatically dead, the cards do not reset to allow any attempt. The game itself seems okay, a simple, relaxing card matching game. I get the sense it was once designed to be a bit of a money suck, as there are upgrades, and when you buy them it says 'thanks or the purchase' but it doesn't seem to actually be trying to generate micro-transactions at this time. It also seems very buggy. I have found two frames with fewer than ten pin-cards, some of the achievements do not show up, even once earned, and other oddities. I would give this one a pass, not even worth fifty cents in it's current state.

Strike Solitaire is a very interesting Solitaire game. You have to match cards based on numbers. Example: two 10s two 5s,etc... Relaxing game play. 10/10.

an extremely relaxing puzzle game for you to chill out to and just watch a video in the background with. the game has a very easy pick up and play way of working and dosent try to over step and try to get you to buy some item for real world money. in fact it dosent at all. there is one currency in the game and its very easy to get tons of and all it dose is just add a few "help im stuck" items that arnt needed. there are no annoying loot boxes or micro transactions or anything that most game devs shove down your throat these days, its a nice change of pace and i really enjoy it!

"Strike Solitaire" is a basic mobile-app like solitaire puzzle game. Solve various puzzle levels using Klondike style card moving and matching. It's been done a million times before, for free, and free on mobile app stores too... yet this one has a hefty price tag on it. Who knew you can just charge $5 for mobile trash? I guess Creobit does. The "developer", Creobit/8Floor, has copy + pasted this game an insane SEVENTY TWO TIMES onto Steam with minor reskins... why cash in on one asset if you can cash in on multiple copies of the same game? From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The game only displays in 4:3 pillarboxed aspect ratio (with some lazy "wings" to fill the pillar). It's possible they developed this using an old CRT they found in a dumpster, or this game has been specifically designed for people gaming on PC's from 1995... either way, this isn't really acceptable in the modern era of PC gaming. This looks and feels like a mobile app, but it doesn't seem to have made it to the app stores. It's unclear why this was put on Steam instead of the app stores it seems to have been designed for. Maybe it was removed, maybe it was rejected by Apple and Google (they do have more rigorous quality standards than Valve does for Steam, after all). Regardless, for all intents and purposes this might as well be a mobile app, it has the same limitations and dumbed down qualities. It's impossible to recommend such a game to PC gamers. We don't spend all this money building gaming rigs so we can pretend they're iPhones and play games that might as well be mobile apps. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 6 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 110,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 11,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 110,000+ games on Steam? Strike Solitaire has the pathetically optimistic price of around $3 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam. This is also competing with over 14,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.

About a third of the way in there is a broken frame that stops your progress and can't be skipped. The "developers" do not respond to questions in the forum. Don't waste your money, even on a 90% off sale.

I got this in a sale for like 35 pence, so I would say I have had my money's worth but would I recommend it; no I wouldn't. There are just too many bugs at this present time which leads to frustration especially near the halfway point where I had won the level but it was not recognising so and giving me a lower score and this wasn't just a one off, it happened on several occasions. Shame because the concept is a fun little game and without those bugs I would of recommended it but in it's state now; definitely not; there are games that do this better.
