This is a pretty interesting game so far. with just completing the tutorial i seem to like it. **However**... with smooth locomotion on, i was not able to progress through doors. if the doors could be interacted with or you could just walk through them that would be amazing. the teleport is pretty sensitive and seems to love to turn you around. and i didn't see an option for smooth rotation. that would be good to have. assuming i wasn't being dumb and didnt see it. i personally dont like the teleport and snap turn things on vr games. i tend to stick with smooth locomotion and smooth turn. personal preference. but yeah i'd say fixing the smooth locomotion through doors thing is a definite thing to fix the character movement and rotation controls are the only things i would want fixed. so far i have no other complaints.
I'm writing this review after completing the game a few times. I'm playing StressOut on my Quest 2 thrugh VirtualDesktop on Steam with my 1080ti graphics card and I didn't see any performance issues so far. The game runs smooth. From a design perspective game is an smash up playground and I think it's meant to relax and intrigue with unique mechanics. Even tho the game is in Early Access, I enjoyed fun mechanics like object manipulation that resembles a bit of Portal 2 and Garry's gravity gun. It's sooo satisfying wrecking havoc in VR. With dev constantly updating the game, I'm eager to see where they'll take it. At this point there is no use of me saying that I want more content, but future updates with hints of destructible environment like buildings look very promising. I also wish that by the time of final release there will be some improvements on skill system, because at the moment upgrades feel more of a "stat boast" and not enough "I feel more power'' My thoughts on graphics are that as a fan of lowpoly i'm still missing some details on items and some skill effects that would evolve thru playthrough for that rpg feel. The game takes the chill and funky vibe which is supplemented well with dynamic music. While the music is lacking at this point, it's still good and will probably improve. Overall im impressed with the game and potential it holds, so i'm looking forward to see more. I recommend it to anyone that seeks casual destruction games with unique mechanics and some funny moments or maybe there's a darker story hidden somewhere - like "Why am i running against clock"?
(WMR) Редактирую ранних отзыв, теперь это вполне играбельно. Часть уровней все еще на доработке и закадровый голос все еще тихий. Но перемещение и разрушение теперь работают хорошо. Главное, при этой механике у меня целые руки и мебель.
This is a great stress relief game! I've been supporting this game for a while now and I have to say these are one of most awesome devs I've had the pleasure of meeting. (This review is based on the latest version as of the date of this reviews posting) You get spawned into a garage, you hear a voice guiding you through a tutorial. You learn that you can pick up objects and throw them, and that whenever an object is moved due to something you did, you earn time and points. But that's not all, you can use MAGIC! Using certain hand gestures you can pick up objects and shoot them from your hands! Later on you learn how to combine a bunch of items and shoot them out all at once. After the tutorial is over you find yourself in the main hub area where you can go to your first level. Your mission? CHAOS! The first level is a little market filled with stuff you can knock down. Your goal is to manipulate as many items as you can to earn as many points as possible. You'll know you've gotten points for an item if the item now has color. Pretty much everything that's not attached the the ground can be used as a way to cause chaos, even your bare hands! As you progress from level to level you unlock upgrades to your powers. Eventually you'll be able to shoot items like machine guns and shotgun blasts that cause the same amount of damage as a bazooka! Make sure to look for hidden items and collectibles around the maps! There are a ton of secrets to be found and they can unlock secret levels. In my opinion, if you're looking for a game where you just want to cause chaos, shoot canned goods from your hands like a machine gun, and look back at a room completely destroyed and say "I did this", this game is for you! I did get this game for free but I actually really enjoy this game. The only issues I had was getting stuck in places and lack of content near the beginning of development a while ago. Everything said in this review is true (as of the posting of this review), the devs of the game did not manipulate me into giving it a good review or entice me with anything. All opinions shared in this review are my own.
Nicht zu empfehlen, Bugs, schwarze Bildschirme, absolut kein Feedback wenn man etwas zerstört. Keine wuchtigen Gegenstände, Physik misslungen. Es kommt 0 Spielspaß auf! Cranking up Rage agains the machine music and totally trashing the store felt really good. I'm more of a builder by heart but it feels good that I could let it go for once :D. I think this game is very unique in the VR market and it does its job well.
it is the worst
Its got a like to like so far in my playthrough. When I saw a demo for the game, I was pretty much sold on what the developer was offering. It's simple, its easy, and its fun, granted you understand those 3 key elements going into this. For me, being able to use telekinesis and just launching objects out of my hand is fun and I wish other games would adopt this method of gameplay. Even though the mechanics are kind of hit or miss at times, its never game breaking and it never really turned me off. I just keep having fun doing what I came to do...make a mess and smile while doing it. Definitely going to give this another go soon and get back into the actions. Good job dev!
