Just like another of this developer's games that I tried, War Trains, this game is a dumpster fire full of cat turds.
Controls are a joke:
1) you can't jump standing in place, only when running
2) you can't stop where you land...your character keeps taking more steps, causing constant overruns
3) if you press back to try to stop, your character will instantly run backwards
4) there is an epic lag between when you press jump and when it actually happens
This is enough to ruin the game altogether, given that it's a game that requires accuracy and agility in order to pass obstacles. But with the controls the way they are, and the way some of the obstacles are set up, it's basically impossible.
Also, the viewpoint makes it very difficult to see if the object you're dropping into place is aligned the way that you want. This isn't an issue for the first object, but if you mess up the 2nd or 3rd, it can affect your entire build and you'll have to start over. Due to the bad controls and overruns, you can basically get yourself stuck and have to build something just to get back to where you were and try again.
The concept is actually pretty good...kind of like if Getting Over It With Bennett Foddy and The Incredible Machine had a baby. But, unfortunately, this baby is ugly and brain-damaged.
In the end the game is infuriating, not because it's challenging, but because everything about it is vaguely broken and it feels largely untested. The lack of control makes trying to overcome the obstacles completely un-fun. If this were early access, it might still have the potential to get cleaned up and turned into something cool. But, given the track record of this dev and what a mess War Trains is, and knowing that game never got fixed, then I'm expecting that this game won't improve either. It'll remain a Unity asset-flip thrown together quickly and ignored by its creator like the ugly baby that it is.
2/10 for having a good idea, but not the coding skills nor fortitude to deliver on it
