The narrative, expertly delivered, paired with unexpected bonus content, greatly enhanced my gaming experience. The thoughtfully designed end-game content provides a satisfying conclusion while encouraging further exploration. The music superbly amplifies the detective theme and, together with a unique post-game object collection system and high-quality voice acting, makes for an engaging journey throughout the game. This game sets a high benchmark for subsequent series installments by balancing thrilling moments with a touch of PG-level creepiness. The only minor drawback could be the cost relative to playtime. However, it's worth noting that the price translated into quality gaming from start to finish for me. Whether you're a seasoned HOP enthusiast or a newcomer to the genre, I can't recommend this game enough. It both promises and delivers a high-quality entertainment experience. Strange Investigations: Becoming Collector's Edition est un hidden assez basique dans l'ensemble et dans sa narration. Il nous raconte l'histoire de Dana Strange qui devient flic à la suite de la disparition de sa soeur par un serial killer et qu'elle retrouve avant que celle ci soit tuée par le dit serial qui sera arrêté par Dana dans la foulée. Suite à cela Dana rend sa plaque et devient détective privée dans une agence. Sa première mission l'emmène sur la disparition d'une jeune fille et d'un kidnappeur qui n'est pas sans rappeler la façon de procéder du serial killer que Dana a mis sous les verrous il y a quelques temps... Pour être sincère, je m'attendais plus à une histoire lorgnant sur le fantastique avec le fantôme de Ursula qui vient aider celle ci mais c'est pas tout à fait le cas. On a bien Ursula qui apparait de temps en temps mais les arrivées et départs sont bof au possible... Besoin d'un objet... taadaaa qui voilà déguisé en policier/conducteur/.... pour le donner à l'héroïne... C'est super mal amené et dans l'ensemble la narration est moyenne. La logique d'utilisation des objets est digne parfois d'un point'n'click des années 90, en mode expert c'est à dire sans indice on galère parce que justement on n'aurait jamais utilisé l'objet en question de telle ou telle manière... Pareil pour certains puzzle comme par exemple une figure géométrique à reproduire en plaçant des éléments, c'est une chose des plus basiques à faire sauf que là il y a des éléments à mettre avant d'autres et tant que l'on a pas fait cela on n'avance pas... J'ai même cru que le jeu était bugé au début mais non c'est moi qui l'était... on me dit pas tout... Il y a peu de scènes d'objets cachés dans le sens où l'on entend (Liste, ombre,...), il y a souvent des objets à retrouver en double, c'est pas compliqué mais ce n'est pas non plus ce que je préfère dans un hidden... Graphiquement, c'est pas moche par contre il ne faut pas tenir compte des personnages qui se déplacent ou tournent la tête... le moteur d'un hidden n'est pas fait pour cela. Franchement, Elephant Games faites juste des scènes fixes, perso je ne vous en voudrait pas du tout, vraiment pas... Il y a des collectible à récupérer et pour une fois (n'est pas coutume) en plus de l'indicateur qui vous signale si vous avez eu tous ceux ci, vous aurez également la possibilité de pouvoir les récupérer à partir du menu bonus en cliquant sur les scènes qui vous restent non terminées à 100% dès lors que vous aurez fini l'histoire principale... Le doublage (qui est très light, il y a peu de voix) et le sous titrage est en anglais. Le chapitre bonus comme à l'habitude sent plus le "truc" fait à l'arrache pour être là plus qu'autre chose mais bon, il se parcourt sans problème... Strange Investigations: Becoming Collector's Edition n'est pas un mauvais jeu mais pas un bon non plus... En fait, c'est plus un hidden qui permet de passer un peu de temps entre deux autres jeux sans plus. Il aurait pu être nettement meilleur mais c'est loin d'être le pire hidden que j'ai fait. Je n'en garderais pas un souvenir éternel toutefois...

Absolute rubbish!

It's okay, a little boring.

This game was weird. I've played many different mystery games like this, but the puzzles were glitchy, some didn't make sense that became confusing that I had to skip. How did the sister die? the sister was alive when she found her, and why cut it off like that to change the story at the very beginning.

Very good, actually has adult themes that the overwhelming majority of HOGs don't touch. It was fun, even if it if had a lot of the usual HOG nonsense with random objects being in weird places. I liked that the maps actually show where there's still collectibles etc to find. However, it did crash to desktop after the main game when I clicked the bonus content button. Surprisingly, post game there are puzzles etc to still do in the bonus content and you are even given the opportunity to look for puzzle pieces etc you missed. A very solid HOG, recommended.

A very nice HOG with enough variety to solve puzzles and hidden-object-scenes. I'm not a native speaker so my first fear was I couldn't understand all the English words and sentences. But if your English is average, you could mostly understand it.

I enjoyed the mix of hidden object screens, puzzles, and outline puzzles. It wasn't very difficult but it pretty to look at and had an interesting story.

I love games like this, only downside, I end up playing them for hours :)
