StoneTide: Age of Pirates

I really wanted to like this one, it looks right up my alley. Sadly the game is just infuriating to learn. The controls are really rough, the interface is nonsensical, and the "tutorial" tells you just enough to infuriate you when you're expect to fill in the glaring gaps. My friend and I spent 45 minutes trying to figure out how to fill a bucket with water FORTY-FIVE MINUTES. We checked the wiki and the discord. The answer? Drag it into the water. Not just any water though, only special water will work. Oh, but all the water looks EXACTLY THE SAME. We put that bucket in every bit of water we could find with no luck. This is a great concept with some of the worst execution I've seen in a long time. It's a real shame really.

I just bought the game and it looks fun but i cant even play it. no opition make it full screen its so damn small of a window on my scrren cant see ♥♥♥♥. wish they would fix this asap so i can play it

I won't pretend to know how hard it is to program what needs tweaking, but there are just a few things that would make it a pretty good game. I love the concept and still recommend supporting the game, but can't recommend actually playing it at the moment. I'll keep my eye on it, hoping it gets better soon.

A nice hidden gem of a game. It's a wonderful game.

How do I drink water? I even looked up a guide and I literally cannot figure out how drinking water works. Never before have I been so confused about a basic concept like water drinking.

This game is absolutely legendary, I downloaded it with low expectations and this blew me away! I could easily spend hours and hours on it having a blast, it's phenomenal how advanced a 2d game actually can be and StoneTide clearly demonstrates this. I recommend everybody to at least give StoneTide a try and you will be blown away.

Decent game this reminds me of terraria but with pirates

Hallo ich finde das Spiel Hatt viel Potential es ist toll und leider noch , nur auf englisch ,. ich will kein abschrecken und hoffe das sich das unten negative noch verbessert ! ich glaube an das Game und freue mich das sowas erschienen ist ! liebe so spiele !!! was mir nicht sonderlich gefallen hatte: Schwer zu sagen die Menu sind sehr klein was ich Doff finde am Anfang weis ich nicht was ich machen kann, soll und was die seltsamen Packete von 0/50 steine auf den Boden sollen??? es ist irgend wie alles sehr sehr leer wie in den Videos und Giebt es Npc die ich anheuern kann? wie baue ich mein schiff? geht das`? oder bekomme ich eins ? alles fragen fragen fragen... und am Anfang eine sehr kleine Insel.... ich finde das spiel hätte potential ( aber da ich nur auf der mini insel laufe und glaube wie ne tote quest ) 100 Beume und steine Fellen muss um weg zu kommen... ich weis nicht ... da zu eben die Menü,s die alles Erschwären da sie Sooo verdammt klein sind ! muss ich dem spiel leider Daum runter geben ich finde für 5 Euro ok ... aber zu zeit nicht mehr tut mir leid. ENGLISH/ESPAÑOL I bougth this game yesterday's night, and the truth is that I found myself a great surprise. It's a game that it has a lot to improve, but is really enjoyable in the state that it is now. Remembers me a lot of Terraria in its game style (HUD, Materials, Constructions, etc.) but I must repeat that this is a game that it's not finished yet, and has a lot to be work at. It has a little learning curve, where the Wiki ( https://stonetide.gamepedia.com/Crafting ) its really helpful, because you are thrown in this world and you must learn how to survive by your own means. Some bugs here and there, but the devs are always mindful of the comments and eager to improve the game. I recomend it 100% if you like this kind of game and you want to survive in a world of pirates (You can also play with your friends Online). I'm confident that this will become a great game inside the Steam community because it has a lot of potential. Without anything more to say... See you on STONETIDE! Compré este juego por la noche el día de ayer, y la verdad es que me he llevado una grata sorpresa... Es un juego que aún tiene mucho por mejorar, pero ya en el estado en que está es bastante jugable y entretenido. Me recuerda mucho a terraria en su estilo de juego (HUD, Materiales, Construcciones, etc) pero debo repetir que aún es un juego que le falta mucho para estar completo, tiene una pequeña curva de aprendizaje donde la Wiki( https://stonetide.gamepedia.com/Crafting ) es bastante importante, ya que te lanzan al mundo y debes aprender a sobrevivir por tus propios medios. Un par de Bugs por aquí y por allá pero los desarrolladores están atentos a los comentarios y ansiosos de mejorar el juego. Lo recomiendo 100% si te gustan esta clase de juegos y quieres pasarte un rato intentando sobrevivir en un mundo de piratas (Además puedes jugar con amigos Online). Aún no lo han traducido al español así que saber inglés es importante... Confío en que con el tiempo se volverá un gran juego dentro de la comunidad de steam ya que tiene un gran potencial.
