This game platforming is like Quake III but better. I'm a fan of Windlands 2 and Neon White, so Stilt caught my attention. It takes a little while to get used to the controls, but when you get it, its so much fun. Single player has plenty of levels and the difficulty ramping is very well made. Similar to Neon White, you get power ups in the level and there's no grinding or bloated repeated content, every new level feels fresh and interesting. I wish multiplayer lobbies were populated because I bet MP would be the closest thing to a modern Quake Arena (despite the graphics, of course). Platforming and shooting is so cool. Hanging around the lobby I can only dream how it would be. If you got active friends in VR, definitively give this a go. Also obligatory if you like speed running.
After trying this game during a Next Fest it quickly became the highlight of it and something I highly anticipated. Now that it's here, I don't regret it at all. Stilt is one of the most unique ways of playing a game I've ever tried, and it feels way more intuitive than I could ever imagine. This is the closest we have ever been to Super Mario in VR. The game is charming in its presentation and there's an overall happy feeling to everything going on. I'm still only early into the game, so I can't speak much about variation and things like that... ...but what I can speak, and gush, about is the movement. Seriously, go try the demo! Play through a couple of levels before you realize that you're actually considering speedrunning the game after you 100% it (looking forward to seeing this at GDQ). Every movement in this game so far feels like how I want to move my body if I was actually whatever this weird space creature is. Depending on how the later levels turn out this might be a top 3 game for me in VR, and I've played VR since the original Oculus Rift DK1.
Having played a lot of the single player VR platformers, this one is really, really good. If you were to ask a 3D Platformer enthusiast everything they want in a collectathon-style title, this would hit every note. Tons of collectables, reasons to replay levels, hidden secrets, and long levels. It does lack in art direction, as the graphics get very same-y, and there is no emotional connection between you and your character/collectibles. They are just there, so keep that in mind if you need the game to emotionally motivate you to get through challenges. The game starts out fairly simple to play, but the last couple of worlds really stretch your execution and platforming skills. It has a lot of really great ideas and designs, but could use help in the art direction and overall level layout at times.
Great game and never seen anything like it! My arms got tired fast but I am disabled so that was expected, will try to get my arm strength up and play again :)
I cant decide whether to recommend or not, so I'm going with no based on the following: The models are terrifyingly horribly made The textures and menus make it feel like a poorly ported mobile game The death triggers are far too unforgiving The stilts friction is difficult to manage, whether it decides to act as glue to fling you off a ledge or act like ice and not let you stop moving (also resulting in falling off a ledge (yes, this is entirely a skill issue)) The volcano climb and boss fight are ESPECIALLY unforgiving, it took me all of my stamps to finally get to the ship (from >2000 total to 73) The one thing I absolutely LOVE about this game is the movement mechanic, and the fact that you can do cool parkour to practically skip most parts of levels, though this is punished because you don't get to collect stamps or gifts (but you can just do the level again and collect more, it stacks (gifts dont stack))
A good VR platformer. Didn't try to max everything out, but find more than minimum required collectables. Fun levels (except level 17) cool boss battle. Recomend, along with No More Rainbows and Toss.
Jump around. Very smooth jumping mechanics and feels polished. Tested with Aero
Game is extremely fun, similar to Mario. Want to collect everything.

What a surprise this game is! I bought it on a deep sale and am absolutely hooked. It’s essentially an N64 era platformer collect-athon with some of the most fun movement mechanics I’ve tried in vr. This is the first game I’ve played so long my controllers died. Kudos to the small dev team. I’ll be eagerly awaiting your future releases Played on PSVR2 with the official PC adapter
