got to make a man pregnant 10/10 game :) . . . . on a serious note i love this game although its very short. It was my first ps4 game so for that it will always have a place in my heart<3
The game’s paper-craft, sticker-peeling aesthetic is wonderfully creative, and using Ray’s giant psychic noodle arm to read minds and slap stickers on environments makes for some clever puzzles. However, the gameplay loop quickly devolves into repetitive trial-and-error that kills the pacing. While the platforming is serviceable, the frustrating stealth segments feel completely out of place and bring the narrative momentum to a halt. It is worth a look if you are purely here for the humor and art, but the mediocre mechanics prevent it from being a must-play.
Game Review: Stick It to The Man Rating: 7/10 Stick It to The Man is a quirky and fun platformer that dares to be different. Its unique blend of dark humor, engaging puzzles, and a playful art style sets it apart from many games in its genre. The story centers on Ray, a hardhat tester who gains a spaghetti-like psychic arm after a freak accident, allowing him to read minds and manipulate the world around him. What Makes It Fun? Creative Gameplay: The ability to read the thoughts of NPCs and solve puzzles by literally pulling items from their minds is innovative and amusing. Humor: The witty writing and absurd dialogue deliver plenty of laughs, even if it occasionally borders on over-the-top. Art Style: The hand-drawn, cardboard-cutout aesthetic gives the game a distinct, charming vibe. What Could Be Better? Repetitive Mechanics: While fun at first, the mind-reading and item-fetching puzzles can feel a bit repetitive as the game progresses. Short Length: The game can be completed in a few hours, leaving you wishing for more. Limited Replayability: Once you've solved the puzzles and heard the jokes, there's little reason to revisit the game. Final Thoughts Stick It to The Man is a great example of a game that thrives on originality. While it doesn’t reinvent the platforming genre, it offers a memorable experience with its humor, style, and offbeat charm. It's not perfect, but it's worth playing for anyone looking for something different.
For a game that sells itself as a comedy, its sense of humor isn't very good. With lines like: "I can't wait to post about this about on facebook" or the Bubsy-eqsue "I will move in a predictable circular pattern". Or lines that feel like they come from a bad newgrounds video like "Incidents are my least-favourite thing right now." Simultaneously very of its time, and kinda bottom of the barrel for that time. I remember I got this game because it was compared to psychonauts. The thing is, that psychonauts sense of humor isn't nearly as trend-chasing. The gameplay is also basically just a simplified point and click, with barebones platforming. I can't say there's any moment during the game where I laughed or even had that much of a smile. Still, if you can get it for cheap, it has its charming moments and a great artstyle.
Super fun, a little short, but probably appropriate for what I paid for it, also makes it easier to go back and trophy hunt and you will want to go back. I love the art style, love the game play, only thing I wish was there was more stuff you could just do to screw with the background characters, like I really wanted more of balloon lady's existential crisis. I bought this after getting flipping death on the playstation and just falling in love with the humor and just over all feel of their style, would totally recommend that one as well, hope there will be more soon.
This is my 3rd time playing this game, and I still love it to this day! I'm in love with how wacky the art style, characters, and story is altogether, as it creates a hilarious atmosphere to a deeper meaning of what truly is going on within Ray's story. I cannot suggest this game enough if you're into 2D-Platformer games that has so much creativity and fun puzzle gameplay!
Is there anything to dislike about this game? No, I would say probably not. Criminally underrated. Unique and creative, hilarious, fun, engaging... I'm pretty sure this game is perfect. I love the cardboard art and the bizarre character design, the gameplay is consistently at just the right level of difficulty to be engaging, and whoever wrote the dialogues is a creative genius. I love this game.
Fun and charming puzzle platformer with unique artstyle. Took me only 4 hours to 100 % complete the game but I would not want the game to be longer. It is also one of the few games where going for all the achievements is fun and can be achieved in a single playthrough by just playing the game while being attentive to details. You can also replay individual levels in case you missed something. Sadly the game commits the cardinal sin of having unskippable cutscenes which makes replaying a level a bit annoying.
absolute gem
