Love the story and choices given
Such a fun play and it has so much replay potential. I love that each boy is so supportive of the MC and their relationship with their respective band mate in their routes.
cute and fun, i like how you have options on what events to do
I really love this game and I'll go over some reasons why, but there's a few things that are bothering me. After doing Frey's route and almost completed Hawkins', it kind of seems like the game has been written for a fem MC despite being able to choose your pronouns. A few small spoilers ahead: In Frey's route, when Frey is talking about his (secret) relationship and refers to MC as "him", Hawkins keeps guessing which female character Frey is dating. (This might be intended, since Mikael is like "maybe it's not a she" but it was still not a fun moment for me.) In Hawkins' route, he calls male MC a good actress. There's also a scene where Hawkins talks about his motorbike (she) and MC says he hopes Hawkins isn't talking about MC, which doesn't make sense with a male MC. These kind of things just take me out of the story. There's not really any mention of their sexuality, so I'm not sure if they're all bisexual or if MC is just the "exception" since their exes/people they are interested in seem to all be women. The only time male relationships come up it's in a joke way. I kinda wished there would be one line somewhere to address it if the MC isn't a woman but the LIs are still interested in them despite that. It doesn't have to be made into a big thing, but one mention could've been nice. Now some positives! There's a lot to like about this game. The love interests are all really well written and interesting. Their designs are great and I love their friendship and banter with each other. It feels very real and like you're interacting with a family. It's awesome to see a non-binary love interest as well. I haven't gotten to their route yet, but I look forward to it! The theme of older former idols making a comeback was also something I was very interested in, and featuring older characters in general. The game touches on many difficult things about the idol industry and each character has their own struggles. Those are tackled in a believable way and you can be very supportive and comfort the characters without it seeming like you're 'fixing' them or their problems. I like the game mechanic of selecting moments to play, and the art, music, and voice acting are excellent. It was fun to receive those voice messages and see their social media posts. I became very fond of the characters after a few hours of playing and once I'm done with all the routes, I'll go back for the things I missed. I could talk about Stellifier a lot more, but this is already too long. Thank you so much for a lovely game!
honestly really cute! all three ROs bring a lot to the table (i was surprised by how much i liked hawkins, considering i don't usually like the "playboy" type) and there's a lot intertwining and going on between the stories that it's fun to keep an eye out for. LIKES: • the power of friendship really does save the day • the MC is capable! and smart! and not a complete klutz/idiot, which is such a relief, i'm so sick of that trope • super cheesy in the best ways • really liked the schedule structure, where we picked what we got to do in a day. made it feel like there was a lot more freedom to explore and be curious, rather than being locked into a predetermined route every time. • the voice acting is so good, i really wish there was more of it because *chef's kiss* • i'm surprised by how invested I was in the background stories with all the oracle-affiliated characters across all three routes, it was really easy to embody that "journalist" character because I ALSO WANTED TO KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON • the collectibles were fun to hunt down and served as a great roadmap for which scenes to go for when i was trying to pursue a certain RO • the instagram dupe made me laugh every time, the comments on each of the posts were so funny MEHS: • would have loved to have sprites or even just portraits for some of the recurring background characters (like arden, abigail, khrys, etc). these are important people who show up across all the different routes! DISLIKES: • i wish the save system was a little more intuitive. trying to make hard saves to try out different dialogue options and outcomes was kind of awkward because of the way the game automatically overwrites the "active" slot, instead of having separate autosave slots • the number of typos/grammar errors/missing words throughout the game are.... really not what i want to see for a VN at this price point. 8.5/10, will definitely return to see my bias mikael again ♥
Aside from a few complaints here and there from yours truly, the game is alright. (I still need help on getting the Deja Vu achievement.)
Very cute and easy to follow game. It's not very long but still very enjoyable!
