Looking at the activity on the discussions page, it's clear that this is a dead game, not an abandoned one because the dev still seems to be updating it, but let's ignore the lack of activity or updates on either the forums or the dev respectively... onto the rest; in short, it would've been a bit more interesting IMO if it weren't for some aspects pointed out by other reviews - and i agree with one of them in particular; i originally got interested in this game due to the idea that we could craft/salvage components to outfit the ship, and that this wouldn't be something that would occur very late-game-ish, but apparently i was wrong... i haven't really gotten into the game because, well... you're basically stuck with the same ship/configuration for a long time, due to; - blueprints being unavailable, or non-existent for whatever reason - the crafting system seems to be rather biased extensive grinding/farming of levels just to obtain enough 'money' to afford 1/10 of a component now i get that i'm a lazy player of this genre, but i think a game where you're stuck with the same ship configuration (with little to no chance of upgrades) for the first 10-12 levels all while either the enemies grow more numerous, or they field better and better weapon systems that eventually 1-shot your entire shield and armor systems, doesn't exactly impress me - if this game is going to show stupid screenshots where you can craft components to improve your ship but then seriously hamstring the player by purposefully forcing players into a no-win situation within the first 10 missions unless said players are willing to spend hours and hours wasting time on the first couple of levels just to farm enough materials to craft components for non-existent equipment because the blueprints for said equipment never show up (or maybe they will be obtained, by say mission 15 [again, well beyond where the player gets stonewalled for good]), i think you can see why i'm more than happy to give this game a negative review (overall it's not as bad as some other games i've had the misfortune to run across but....)
Shmup with an overheat mechanic. That alone would be almost enough for thumbs down, but that isn't the only issue. It's not even the only issue with that mechanic - if you click fast the overheat never builds up. So you get to choose between annoyance of overheat, or getting rsi (me, I wrote a script to send mouseclicks). There further problems as well; almost all projectiles can be shot down, but this creates a problem: enemies now effectively fire additional enemies, so the threat level is largely based on their rate of fire. It also makes your weapons less useful if they fire small numbers of powerful shots, or are just slow firing - it just gets soaked up by the onscreen projectiles. Weapon balancing doesn't take this into account, and the "DPS" that supposedly tells you how strong a weapon isn't accurate aside from that either. Then there was the weird hybrid of energy+cooldown for using superweapons. It was weird, annoying, and just not necessary. Need to limit frequency? Change cooldown. Need to allow frequent use but not too many times? Set number of uses per level. Not whatever this was. The progression of being "just string enough" to get through a level was sort of ok. I didn't like it but if it was intentional then it was achieved (except for on hard, some of those were impossible at the strength level you approach them. Use easy or normal then circle back). Overall, thumbs down.
After two more hours of the same ♥♥♥♥... I said to myself... "Why the hell would I even bother playing this ♥♥♥♥?" If the developers never bothered to test it, why would I waste time and play it? I deleted the game and that's it. P.S. The game might be decent and somewhat interesting but the items you get, the blueprints are chaotic and quite expensive to manufacture without a reason. A laser is 5 times less expensive than a shotgun because.. reasons. I don't mind that the balance is stupid but at least give me something interesting to use, a weapon that I might like, a shield that efficient or at least something that is good against hoards of enemies...

looks cool very very very easy slow gameplay after disarming a boss you need to shot the corebody for 1 more minute to kill it - very borring can be played without thinking and any effort if you use area effectiv weapons most reactor upgrades are pointless you just dont need that power because of the cd cap some cool ideas but not balanced well enough you can test different cool weapons make you own challange useing only low tier weapons sometimes long brakes between next enemys heat management involved but very minor effect small changes could make this into a great game - for now its just a brain afk action shooter 2€ fair to play ~20 hours gameplay 4 different "maps" around 50 missions + sidemissons - no benefit to play sidemissions tho ~10 minutes / mission
A lesson why you should read reviews for a game before spending money on it
"Killing a million of aliens per square meter and second is fun" if you agree, then, this game is for you.
Broken game
