Too rough and barebones in its current state, but shaping up to be a pretty nice survival adventure game.
The game directly staples you in an arid desert reminiscent of a settler past that you explore with your aeronef, searching for resources and means of survival. You search through the remains, tools, plans, and resources to build crucial elements to repair and improve your ship. You also use different tools that can be found or crafted, from the usual crafting wrench to grappling hooks, mining utensils, and powerful magnets to steal some flying robot scalpers last alive fragments from the previous civilization living there. However, the experience at this current stage is still a bit sparse. After 30 minutes of game, the introductory missions ends, and you are let up to explore around and heir for your survival. The game doesn't have enemies or any real intent outside exploring and collecting resources. The only real challenge other than your thirst and appetite is what seems to be surprise heat wave attacks (I may assume it could come from the steamy machinery still intact, but it isn't clear, nor is it explained). The game also suffers from a couple of gameplay issues, which, while being quickly addressed, make the game pretty redundant when discovering the map but also in encountering the recurring issues. So, be aware of spinning ships, resources and tools disappearing, and inventory mishaps; the game is a student project after all. But the game still has a solid foundation, which could be easily and greatly expanded in the future, with additional world expansions and a story mode explaining more of the lore.

Controls are poor, keys don't work as expected quite often. Another low quality port to PC? Also don't really care for the aesthetic, it's far too chunky. Not a game for me.
Looks fun, but needs polish, food and water usage is going way too fast.
Steamwrecked is a free steampunk survival game where you repair your airship and fight to stay alive in an overheated world left behind by a civilization that fled to the skies. For a seven-week student project built by a team of 17, it delivers a surprisingly cohesive experience with a great atmosphere and a satisfying crafting loop. The game has its share of bugs, and some design choices – like losing your tools on death or the grappling hook breaking too fast – can feel more punishing than fun. That said, the team is actively improving it, and at zero cost it's absolutely worth a try.
Solid concept. Controls were hit or miss on whether they worked. Also not intuitive on how things work. For example, double clicking food/drink in inventory to consume. Other than those two minor complaints, I would love to see more of this game/environment. There's good potential here.

This game wears it's inspirations on it's sleeve, and in this case I think it's a good thing. Lotta potential here. But right now the build be janky af.
