If in doubt, check the update history. Updates almost never happen, and when they do, they are minimal. It's a game with a more relaxing feel. You basically stay in your ship managing possible problems, with survival elements, missions and focused on exploration. Updates take a long time to arrive, if they ever do. That's the biggest problem. Very little exploration content. There's only a small system with very few planets/places. And these are still just small areas. There's no big cities, no planet with a huge area to be explored, nothing like that. The space travel mechanics and the way you can interact with loot, asteroids and drifting ships are perfect, but all of these are also very small and repetitive. The worst of all is that space travel, even with a hyperdrive, is very slow, you spend hours going from one place to another (and there are few...) and it gets boring. To make matters worse, due to RNG, your ship has faults that you need to find the components to fix it (the game does this well, since you can loot or craft them on your ship). However, it is frustrating to waste hours trying to arrive at your destination and when you are almost there, the ship has a problem and there is no effective communication on the screen about it, or an audible alert that calls your attention, and if you are not careful... you are automatically taken back to a repair site (paying some credits for this) and if you want to return to your destination you have to travel hours and hours again. The save system does not allow you to load at an earlier point, which is terrible. Anyway, the game has a good foundation, a good concept and execution, but it lacks content and variety and a better balance of what is available in the gameplay, such as travel time.
just started playing but as another reviewer said its similar to objects in space, as in you live in your ship you repair it etc but also like a life sim you grow food craft things investigate things in a lab, and also you can do missions ( delivery, dont know if there is more) like the game great potential there is no game similar that you live truly in your ship, have been looking for something like this, dont know how i miss it til now
This is really cool and has potential to be so immersive. It already is very nice! I hope the devs keep working on it and add mouse only controls pretty please for accessibility? <3
The game is excellent bones for a great game in the future. Right now the game has some stuff to do but a lot of it is hit button & wait. You have to walk everywhere which isn't bad but is time consuming. There are no directions and the map doesn't really help so finding things means just wandering around to find it. The farming function has no explanations of how it works and I can't find any help online. Over all it sounds like I am being quite down on this game but honestly I love the idea and the bones are great but it is clearly not done is all. I AM hoping there will be more customisation of the ship & outfits.
