The game has a very nice atmosphere and the concept is pretty fun. Sure, there are still a few bugs, but none interfered too much with the user experience. Would definitely recommend
starshifter is a charming fun game about exploring the world collecting stars it's essentially a collectathon it focus is not combat but movement the main charcter cayotey is decently fast and versitile but the game features flying controls and good ones at that these forms are shifted through seamlessly throughout the game unfortunantly this game is also often cryptic and requires extensive play without a guide and every youtuber seems to be stuck at the first subworld "prairy" game is so great though i'm thinking of posting a full guide on youtube just to give it the love it deserves
Cute game with a lot of potential, I just wish the controls weren't so awful. Feels more like a demo than a polished game.
Very cute, love the characters and their designs, the idea is solid, but it has problems that make it unplayable for me: -the least of them is there's clipping in the terrain -the double jump is inconsistent as another reviewer mentioned -the climbing, jumping, and platforming overall I find to be too tedious and tricky to do at times -the collectables- I collected all the collectables from the first area, and when I went to the second the collectables do not spawn at all? I followed a guide to their exact locations and they are not there -the stars- I struggle to find all the stars even in the very first area, when looking online for a video or something to show me where to find them all I saw is other creators giving up on looking for them just like me. It would be useful to have something to show you where are the stars you're missing, because I swear I went through the area at least 5 times and looked everywhere and used star sight -progression- it felt kinda unclear on how to proceed to the next area. I was stuck in the first one until I saw someone *accidentally* moving onto the next one in a YouTube video and that showed me how to do it Really wanted to love the game but I don't want to spend time on a game that only makes me feel annoyed and frustrated, because I can't progress smoothly.
It is a cute little game, I love running around and yipping in the pretty valley! Mechanically it's easy to grasp, just collecting stars and enjoying myself. I like supporting Indie companies.
Wow, this needed WAY more time in the oven.
A fun little puzzle platformer with good vibes and a charming aesthetic, Starshifter is well worth the money. While on the shorter side, the game is well paced and a generally relaxing time. Some of the boss fights can be a bit finnicky but overall the game is just outright fun to play.
