"StarOS" is a bit like Pony Island, a desktop simulator with some minigames that leads to a somewhat "deeper" experience, if you could call it that, as interacting with the desktop and games exposes an underlying, but rather poor and pointless narrative, that you can uncover in less than half an hour. And as usual when one of the best things about a game is that it's over quickly, that's far from a ringing endorsement. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. This is only free in a rudimentary sense... the developer has their hand out for a $1 USD "donation" for this as you're expected to buy soundtrack DLC from Steam to "support" the "developer"... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty water on your windscreen at the traffic lights. No thanks. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 12 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.

Muy original, te mantiene enganchado hasta el final. El uso de los logros como parte de la narrativa del juego es una idea muy buena!!!

Fun little game. A retro computer style mixed with a bit of horror and some secrets along the way.
Very good free game. Keep in mind that if you have disabled achievement pop-ups, you will miss part of the story.
StarOS is a charming little sci-fi management toybox built around the fun of tinkering. Its clean interface, gentle progression, and playful sense of discovery make it surprisingly relaxing to sink into. It’s not a huge game, but it’s an enjoyable one bright, upbeat, and easy to get lost in for a while.
A short experience, but it's definitely interesting! I do wish there were subtitles at some points though I understand how that might ruin some immersion, and considering the game is free I can't complain too much lol. I like it!
short horror game about an old operating system. music is fantastic, and it's a surprisingly suspenseful experience. highly recommended!
Weird. Funny that it makes you think FBI is watching.
