Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Sep 12 → 0.67/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Old school star wars game classic with sometimes cryptic level puzzles but with an amazing feel to the lightsaber and force powers.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Besides a few bugs or old mechanics, it's a must play for any SW fan. I would consider it almost a masterpiece!
First I'd like to mention that I played for the first time in my life STAR WARS™ Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy™, 6 years ago when I build my very first pc, this very one I playing Jedi Outcast with. I had a blast playing this Jedi Academy for the first time. I remember it was hard, but everything felt really good. Here, on Jedi Outcast what the hell? I started in normal difficulty, I killed 30 stormtroopers, it's so hard to aim, they take forever to die, I never find ammo, I never find enough medic pack. And when I find a medic pack it heals 20-30hp when I'm suppose to have 100 at max, like what the hell. And so after I killed the first 30, I was left with 15 ammo and a stick. In a huge maze... I couldn't survived. So I restarted in easy mode. In easy mode it's pretty cool, stormtroopers miss 90% of their shot, and only deal 1 damage when they touch you. But the imperial officers still deals way more, like 5-6 per shots. Not mentionning the horrible maze, and level design that makes no sense. If I did play this game as a child, it would have been in my nightmare, taking a week to pass the very first level of the game. So in easy mode I can play, and I must have killed 100 bad boys, and I can move to the second part of the first level, with the blue+green+red symbols what the hell it was to understand how that works. At this point till I quit, I had to check 4 times the solution to know where to go because it's just absolutely not obvious. And after killing 200 dudes or something, still in easy mode, I have still enough ammo, but like 20-30 hp. And there is still way too many dudes to kill. And I can't find medic pack. And it's a damn maze anyway. I just died because I couldn't survive anylonger without help. I'm failing easy mode AHAHAHAH xD. I can't believe I can't make it in easy mode I'm so garbage. Or this game is. I killed like 200 dudes with a shock stick and a blaster, and I still don't have a lightsaber to deflect blasters, nor force power to heal myself, nor medic pack to heal myself. It's in easy mode XD. This game is way too hard. Or maybe because it's 2026, there is some issues that appears with new hardware, like too fast/slow stuff, character that aim too good or bad... Nah this has nothing to do with the lack of healing, ammo, and wayyyyy tooooo many stormtroopers. For what I've read in a recent negative review, it's suppose to be like that for 7 levels, before I can finally get a lightsaber? So you mean 7 hours playing this horrible maze, without enough medic pack, healing powers, ... please xD it's easy mode xD. I'm pretty good at fps, I tend to play them in hard mode pretty often and I do it all with a classic pistol whenever I can as I just love it that way. But here this is a nightmare. Everything is bad. Except music, but well, it's star wars so it's always good music. Just ignore this game and jump to Jedi Academy right away. That was a real game.
The story of how Kyle Katarn got his groove back.
lightsaber combat
Great story, great puzzle solving. Awesome game.
game is a major W
Loved Jedi Academy but could never get into Outcast as a kid, now I remember exactly why.
There are a lot of nice things you can say about JO: I like the weapon variety, the way it expands lore past the OG trilogy (the sequel writers could learn a lot from it if they gave a ♥♥♥♥), Kyle Katarn works well as a protagonist, the fact that you can lure enemies into traps and the level verticality, it allows a very creative playstyle in theory. H O W E V E R The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ level design man, it has so many traps if you are playing it for the first time, just a ton of "you rounded the corner and there are 20 stormtroopers on the other side with hit scan accuracy", meanwhile the E-11 blaster which you'll be using for the first 7 levels just feels terrible as a main weapon. Once you get access to tripwires, detpacks and grenades it gets better, but not by much. In later levels you get access to force powers and a lightsaber, so you are probably thinking "Okay, now I'll be able to handle the enemies with ease". No, the random disruptor rifle wielding aliens in 8th level will bend you over and ♥♥♥♥ you. They always know where you are and they will nail you from across the map during a jump mid air. The grenade throwing aliens must have graduated the Star Wars version of Oxford with honours, because they will perfectly calculate the trajectory of grenades to hit you three floors down on the fly. The damage calculation is inconsistent. Sometimes the Remnant officer will die to one crossbow hit. Other times he will tank 3 of them like it's nothing. I have seen a Rodian take a fully charged disruptor rifle shot to the head and just shrug it off. Grenades thrown by the enemy have an explosion radius the size of a football stadium, but when you throw them if you don't score a direct hit they do jack all. I don't know if it ever gets better, because the game is actually so frustrating I quit at that point.
I'm glad JA has the best of both worlds.
