In Star Trek Online, the Star Trek universe appears for the first time on a truly massive scale. Players take the captain's chair as they command their own starship and crew. Explore strange new worlds, seek out new life and new civilizations, and boldly go where no one has gone before.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
About

More than a century has passed since the events of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and thirty years since the events of Star Trek: Nemesis. The Romulan Empire has fractured after the destruction of their homeworld; the Federation and Klingon Empire are at war yet again after decades of peace; militant Cardassians threaten the recovery of their own people. All the while, ancient powers lurk in the Delta and Gamma Quadrants, waiting for the right time to strike. The galaxy is in turmoil and it's up to you and your crew to save it!

Partake in epic space battles and lead away teams across unknown worlds. Join forces with Star Trek legends like Spock, Janeway, Worf, Tilly, and over 40 more Star Trek characters, played by their original actors!
Defend the Federation, rebuild the Romulan Republic, restore honor to the Klingon Empire, or serve the Dominion in battle! Each faction features vastly different ships, crew, gear, and play styles.
Create and customize a Captain from any species in the galaxy, or even make your own! Select from hundreds of ships and find the one that fits YOUR play style.

Reviews
I stopped playing Star trek online about 1 or 2 years ago cause it was lacking on the fun side but that has definitely changed better graphics and better missions all around better.
Worst game and the most frustrating thing ever. I'm doing useless things for several hours to get useless officer and I have to communicate with AI assistent, to get information what should I do. If you like games about wondering what should you do without hints and spend hours with no real income, just waste your time, you will love this. But otherwise stay away from it.

It's pretty much just an unregulated gambling platform once you get through the content. And the win rates are awful. The server performance can be frustrating at times. They just brought back the original guy that keeps pushing it in that direction so don't expect it to change...at all.
No wonder this game is free! I don't DO 'mouse and keyboard'. Until we have total controller availability this game is 'OLD' ; not for me!
If your a huge Star Trek fan, you can't go wrong with this game! Having Played it for about 8 hours (the amount shown reflects 2 hours worth of launcher updates and being stuck open despite having closed out of it), I enjoyed my time with it but have come to the conclusion that as a very casual Star Trek fan, I wasn't engaged with it enough to continue and play catch up through 16 years worth of story content. Pros: -Heavy emphasis on story, (even just having gone through the Discovery Starfleet Faction tutorial storyline) which is a huge plus for Story-driven gamers -Sound Design, Voice acting and music all sounded properly represents the franchise, including the fact that actors/actresses reprise their respective characters from other Star Trek related content -Visually, while dated, seemed exactly what you would expect a Star Trek game to look like from the ships to land enviroments, character designs and everything in between. -Simple and clean UI with little to no clutter with plenty of settings to tune it to your preference -Great balance of land and Ship combat Cons: -Controller is not compatible with PC version of the game beyond the use of the left and right sticks to move your character and the camera. -No options for background audio outside of the game Conclusion: I enjoyed my brief time with it but I feel like I would have enjoyed and played it more had I started playing it in it's first few years, Sadly I feel like i got around to it too late and with so many other MMO's and live service games that has my attention and interest, this one didn't make the cut as one of my ongoing games.

Unfortunately I am not able to play this game- after hours of patches, I have tried to log in and it just times out. :( Really bummed because this looks like fun. I hope they get things sorted! I'll try again in a month and update my review if things improve.
A badly ageing game built around timers, loot boxes (with undisclosed odds) and many different currencies including a premium one. Worth playing for that old Star Trek feel but that's about it.
