About
Follow Aura's adventure as she is thrust into the fantasy world of Roya. What she initially believed to follow the conventional plotline of a "summoned to another world"-story quickly turns into her worst nightmare. Cursed by the Demon King, Aura must now struggle every night to track down her nemesis and ultimately strike him down.
But her enemies don't just lurk in Roya. Having entered her mind through the Demon King's curse, another enemy attempts to brainwash and corrupt Aura from the inside. Faced with a two-pronged attack against her body and mind, can Aura finish off her worst enemy without losing herself?
Each ingame day is structured into 3 parts.
The player controls Aura and can explore the world of Roya to track down and kill the Demon King. In order to become stronger, acquire funds, and advance her search, she can rely on her own powers or ask people for help. However, not everybody means well with Aura. Performing lewd acts and compromising on Aura's ideals by allowing innocents to suffer causes Aura to gain corruption.
The player controls Alicia, who uses Aura's corruption to change her psyche. This includes changing her interests, increasing her interest in fashion, changing her appearance (including hair style/color changes), changing her values (making Aura more selfish), and ultimately changing her sexual desire and love interests.
The player watches cutscenes displaying Aura's real self changing over time due to mental corruption. The cutscenes are told from varying character perspectives (Aura, her best friend Rose, her boyfriend George, and so on).
Strategic Combat with limited resources - All resources, including time, money, and items, must be used with care to get the most out of them in Aura's journey!
Semi-Open World - Explore the vast world of Roya! Hunt for rare materials to infuse into Aura's armor, slay demons, and help our heroine rise from zero in an unfair world!
Challenging and creative boss fights - Battles are set up as puzzles that test your understanding of the combat system. Exploit hidden weaknesses, disable environmental effects, and teach Aura skills that allow her to counter whatever her enemies throw at her. Most encounters may seem impossible at first, but a solution will always reveal itself to those who don't give up thinking!
Balance corruption and progress - Give in to temptation to make your life easier, and it might cause the curse to progress to the point where Aura's personality changes towards evil... However, clinging too firmly to your ideals can slow down your progress, and Aura might become a victim of the curse nonetheless. Balance is key!
Collar Removal - In exchange for damaging her soul and gaining corruption, Aura can forcefully overcome her curse and temporarily regain her powers as a Hero - Smash any encounter and obstacle to pieces! However, using this power accelerates the curse...
5 Difficulty Modes - Don't like the time pressure from the ever-advancing curse? Reducing the difficulty to one of the lower difficulties allows you to take it easy or enjoy the story. Or ramp the difficulty up all the way to Nightmare to get the full masochistic experience of a cursed heroine (Only recommended for veteran gamers).

I loved this game :). I really liked that the corruption of Aura happens slowly in different stages. It feels real because you see her change step by step. There is a lot of dialogue. Some people might find it too much text, but for me, it makes the characters feel alive. You can tell what they want and why they do things. I also liked the feeling of playing two sides at once: being Aura while also controlling her corruptor. It created a cool tension where your choices felt complicated. There is an option to skip the corruptor part, but I didn't try it. The RPG and combat parts are okay, but they aren't my favorite. Sometimes they break up the story flow for me and are too hard (but there is an "easy mode"). However, the writing and character work make up for that. Verdict: If you like deep stories and characters and don't mind RPGM style, this is a great choice. I recommend it because of how well-written the main parts are.
Yeah, I guess it’s a love-hate relationship with this game. I love some of the mechanics, but at the same time, I absolutely hate them. I got beaten. Again. I learned something new. Again. I restart the game. Again. Maybe this time I'll finish it the way I actually want to. But don't you dare tell me this is an easy game. No way, far from it. Very far. Even without the H-content, it would be a solid game, but I need time to rethink my strategy. It feels like an invisible labyrinth, and I'm about to make Aura jump right back into it. This time, with both eyes wide open.
(Don't mind the playtime, I moved onto the Patreon version quite early on) There are many corruption game (and by corruption here I mean "Falling to Evil") and stories on Steam, eroge and non-eroge. But few really can make you feel like you are playing from the perspective of a character who is being corrupted, who has to fight hard to win before they are changed, yet who also has to compromise and give in to corruption at times. But Star Knightess Aura fulfills that fantasy perfectly. There are several reasons for it... For one, the game is not easy - it's a narratively-driven JRPG made in RPG Maker. But unlike most games you expect here, it's challenging. You can't grind your levels, every piece of gold matters, all enemies have gimmicks and weaknesses that you must learn. Hoarding potions "in case I need it later" won't even come to your mind because you will be spending those badboys. SKA even slightly ruined RPGs for me because this is the first time I had to make use of absolutely every RPG mechanic there is. And I love it. It really makes you feel like a proper adventurer! And if you are like me and hate losing intentionally to see the corruption side of the story, you will love the fact that you don't have to do it here. Yet, it's not unfair. Defeat (usually) just ends the day, and giving in to corruption (doing evil things, lewd things, consuming drugs, etc.) can bring you many benefits - money, power, artifacts... you name it. This is where the allure to giving into corruption comes in, and if you want to get the best ending you can, here is hesitation. Yet, giving in also makes the game harder in certain ways, forcing you to depend on corruptive choices even more. Like drug addiction! (which is also present in the game) Then comes Aura herself, who is a defined character (and an intelligent one, which is another breath of fresh air). When you start the game, Aura is a goodie-two-shoes who will never make any decisions that are morally wrong - when such an option is given, Aura just gives a big (obnoxious) speech and you can't select the evil option. Only as the corruption progresses do you get the freedom to choose whatever you want. And then when it progresses further, Aura becomes a kind of person who only selects evil options. This makes the whole corruption feel even more immersive, and it isn't as limiting as it may seem at first (as most corrupt choices can be made later). Then there are the corruption systems, which are quite complex but also easy to understand. And, of course, the story. This is a very well-written game, with many twist and turns, rich lore, and its very reactive to your choices (which is important because it's not a linear game). The Corruption story is eerie and exciting, while the Pure route is satisfying in its challenge and the finale is the best case of "Everyone bands together against the Big Bad" I have ever seen in any story medium. Both the main endings have many variations. Victory ending will be quite different if you have managed to stay mostly pure than if your Aura is highly corrupted. And many decisions you made will also affects the endings, and some variations make it feel like its own corruption ending. Same goes for the Corruption Endings: if you did many evil things, the world is doomed. If you did many good deeds before succumbing, there will be hope for the world. And again, many individual choices will also affect the ending. Overall, if you are a fan of Corruption (Falling to Evil) trope, be it as someone who enjoys seeing the Hero fall or someone who wants an immersive experience in fighting against falling to evil, you owe it to yourself to check out this game.
i know im risking my friends seeing this but it has to be said. This game for SOME REASON has some of the best writing ive seen. I know how wierd it sounds to say this about a hentai game but in my defence, i consider this less of a hentai game and more of a visual novel that happpens to have sexual content. My best attempt to summerize this game, is that the gameplay itself is just fine. I wasnt blown away by any of the systems but i do love the dephts it goes despite how confuses me sometimes. The "sex scenes" are always just a fade to black or just characters reacting to something they are seeing without any CGs. This is the games weakest link. The writing has gotten me to audibly gasp multible times, had me get out of my chair in excitement and genuinely felt bad about the characters development. I would recomend my friends to play this if i wasnt a massive coward.
This game has so much potential - the premise is cool and the concept is great! But it has WAAAAAY too much unnecessary text to read. I just started skipping ALL text 3 hours in, once I started to realize that more than half of the text wasn't necessary to read for the overall story - it was just fluff. I then just started to skip everything and then make my own story in my head for what was happening. I shortly stopped playing after that - which was a shame because the potential of the game is so good! The overabundance of text just watered down the content in my opinion.
This game is truly a perfect example of a dev actually delivering on their patreon promises, even today you can find weekly updates in their discord for the game their currently developing and minor updates for SKA. That being said this game is hard to recommend as purely an eroge, it's an RPG first and an eroge last which works great for the game as the writing is way beyond what you'd expect. There is a lot of dialogue, and I mean an obnoxious amount of it that help with world building and also into the eroge part of the game, the corruption aspect of the game is a perfect example of this and it left me wanting to know more about the world itself. Now for the cons... Honestly the game is just obnoxiously hard when going for a pure route even on normal difficulty, while hard and nightmare feel almost impossible without doing a newgame+ and knowing the game well, if you're trying to get all the achievements then tough luck as one of them requires you to beat the game at nightmare, with zero mental changes or corruption stats and taking into account that to improve your stats, get skills, items and blessed water to reduce your corruption you need money... Well you're screwed, the only real way of earning money is through the lewd route so you'd need to min max as much as possible. Honestly, if you want to enjoy the game without much hassle just use a save editor or cheat, the game punishes mistakes too harshly and honestly it's the easiest way of seeing all the game has to offer as you truly can't see everything in two or three playthroughs.
I loved this game I've tried a few games with sexual content before, but they never really worked for me. Usually the sexual content feels like the main point, with the game and story mostly existing as a delivery system for it. Those types of games do not appeal to me personally. Star Knightess Aura is different. This is a genuinely good RPG with interesting systems, strong writing, and memorable character progression. The adult content is integrated into the corruption, sacrifice, and consequence-driven structure of the game, while still being mostly optional. What impressed me the most was how many meaningful trade-offs the game gives you. You are constantly managing limited resources, timers, corruption, brainwashing, favours, humiliation, and moral compromise. The brainwashing system in particular felt very unique to me, and I loved how it tied into both the mechanics and the story. The game is also much more challenging than I expected. I played on normal difficulty and finished on day 258, fairly close to complete corruption. That pressure made the experience much stronger, because every compromise felt tempting for practical reasons, not just narrative ones. The writing is also genuinely good. I usually prefer RPGs with a customizable main character, but Aura worked very well as a set protagonist. Watching her change over time, and seeing how the game tracks that change mechanically and narratively, was one of the most interesting parts of the experience. It does not offer the same kind of freedom as huge RPGs like Baldur’s Gate or Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, but it is doing something completely different, and it does it extremely well. For a game primarily made by one developer, it is incredibly impressive. I'd recommend this mostly to people who like RPGs, difficult resource management, corruption mechanics, and stories where progress often comes at a cost. The adult content is definitely present, but I do not think this is a game to play only for that. The strength of Star Knightess Aura is the way it makes corruption, temptation, sacrifice, and consequences part of the actual gameplay loop. Highly recommended!
Even without considering the H parts, this is a great game with challenging gameplay where many fights require finding the 'correct solutions' to various mechanics. Fun exploration and interesting storyline.
