A cute little puzzle game! The controls are solid but take a little bit of getting used to. The mechanics are fun and the puzzles are enjoyable, but never overly devious. The game has great visuals with a lot of polish, the character is cute, and the chill music really helps keep the game as chill rather than frustrating. Now somebody please give that lil' proot some ram!
Fun little puzzle platformer game. The graphics are cute with the retro-PS1 aesthetic. It offers a good challenge without being too hard.
Before I start, let me make it clear upfront that I know one of the developers. Opinions are my own, and I wasn't asked to write this review, and I bought my own copy. This isn't the type of game I usually play, however I wanted to give it a go as the scope of the game and the price meant that I wouldn't be too upset if it's something I bounced off of. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I did enjoy my time with it! The game's stages are split into very manageable groups that made it easy to just pop in with the intention of unlocking the next set of levels and then leaving it there for another day. Though you can easily complete the game in one extended play session. Each stage (and inevitable stage restart) just drops you straight in from the start so you can just get going without much in the way of a wait. The challenge of the game comes from the titular stacking and although the controls for manipulating the blocks took me a little getting used to, I did pick them up quite quickly and after a few levels was no issue whatsoever (I played using a controller, I did not spend anytime in-game with keyboard and mouse controls). Things can go wrong and your best laid plans can crumble under the weight of overambitious constructions, but when they do I was pleased to discover that it didn't feel frustrating or unfair which was one of my honest expectations and trepidations going into this. As I mentioned previously you can jump straight back into your next attempt in seconds - making each failure feel more like slapstick chaos than the game being cruel. There was a decent mix of challenge in the game. Some stages were straightforward whilst others felt really quite tough but with a bit of trial-and-error you soon figure out a solution that works for you (and many of these puzzles can be solved in multiple ways I've learned). Overall, the game was a pleasant time and kept me busy for a several hours for to get through each stage. It didn't outstay it's welcome and is a really solid little puzzle-platformer with a really fun artstyle and sense of humour.
I have joined my toaster brethern. those who find faster and faster ways to optimize and cut time. while being a toaster
Stack Prootocol или спасибо ого ого ого ого ого :D
The only game with Affordable RAM. A fun puzzle game with many possible solutions and an adorable Protogen I'd love to have as a keychain or toy on my desk. It has the feel of playing Jenga and building with blocks mixed with platforming. Bit of a learning curve on how the games mechanics work but once you got it down it is a lot of fun. It's best played with a controller in my opinion, the mouse tends to rotate blocks way to easily. I also recommend putting the camera in Manual instead of Auto, makes moving blocks easier. I do wish you could zoom out more to see the whole puzzle to plan things out better, but perhaps that's just part of the challenge. Also wish there was a highlight around the block before you select it to move, but other than that, it's the perfect puzzle game to stimulate my mind or kill some time before work.
es muy entretenido el juego y sus animaciones son muy chistosas, APRÉCIENLO ES ARTE!!!
Игра чем-то напоминает ЕГЭ по физике....
Goofy lil game with a great soundtrack, also made me realise how AWFUL i am at platformers lmao
Big shoutouts to the devs for allowing me to stream this game on its release date! That said. A very neat puzzle platformer about downloading RAM! And you're gonna need to download lotsa RAM for your brain for some of the puzzles. A very adorable game, with super stylized polygonal graphics, a chill and solid soundtrack, plenty of byte-sized levels, and also meep merp. So much merp meep merp. And gravity. Oh god the gravity. Send help my proot has concussions from the number of blocks colliding with its head on any given level oh goodness gracious (But for real. Check this game out. It's worth it, and the devs are good folk. ♥)
