An absolutely amazing co-op platformer. The visuals and art direction were gorgeous, and the repeated switching between gritty sci-fi and cozy fantasy settings was handled perfectly; no individual section felt too long, and the game overall was beautifully paced. Also, there was fantastic variety in gameplay mechanics to compliment each region. The characters and narrative, whilst solid, were underwhelming, never displaying as much heart as [i]It Takes Two[/i]. The side stories were great fun to seek and experience, allowing the devs to explore more gimmicky worlds and mechanics. The final boss was easily one of the greatest gaming sequences I have ever experienced, overflowing with creativity and originality. A must play if you like [i]It Takes Two[/i], and a very easy recommendation if you enjoy platformers in general.
