About
Note: This is a shortened version of our upcoming game Split Echo. If you enjoy this game, consider adding Split Echo to your steam wishlist! Split Echo is a Co-op only game, two players require their own copy of the game. The game also relies on communicating with each other.
Step into an experience designed to challenge you and your partner. Progress only happens when both players actively use their brains together. The puzzles evolve from deceptively simple to deeply complex, demanding real teamwork. Expect moments of clarity, moments of chaos, and the occasional urge to blame your partner’s communication skills.
Unique path: You and your partner can choose between two distinct paths, each offering a different perspective. Combine your thinking and communicate effectively to progress through the puzzles.
Items: Look for clues in everything you see. What seems insignificant might be the key to your puzzle.
Send Items: you and your partner can send items to each other. This can be important to solving a puzzle, or simply to send them a gift.
Solve Puzzles: Puzzles will require good communication between you and your partner. Puzzles will start simple and get more complex as you progress through the game.

"Gulf Echoes: Tent of Treason" is a poorly made middle eastern themed co-op only puzzle adventure game where you plod through some (possibly asset flipped) middle eastern environment and solve some trite and unengaging puzzles. Requiring another person to play a bad game with you doesn't make that bad game better, it just puts strain on relationships. I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency. There's no evidence, but as always, the biggest problem with asset flips besides the plagiarism is the deplorably low quality of the other aspects of the game, and even if the game assets are genuinely created for the game, the quality of the rest of the game is indistinguishable from that of asset flips. On pricing, this is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. There's no financial cost up-front, but you'd still be spending your time and a little hard drive space on a product that's far from the best. There's thousands of better alternatives on Steam.
Gulf Echoes: Tent of Treason is a cooperative puzzle adventure published by a Kuwaiti developer. Set against the backdrop of the Arabian Gulf, the game offers a unique cultural experience intertwined with challenging puzzles. Gameplay and Mechanics: Designed exclusively for two players, Gulf Echoes emphasizes genuine cooperation. Players must communicate effectively to solve intricate puzzles that span different timelines. Each player navigates separate paths, sharing clues to unveil hidden truths and progress through the narrative. Cultural Immersion: The game delves deep into the culture and history of the Arab Gulf, providing an enriching experience that goes beyond traditional puzzle-solving. Players are immersed in tales from the past, exploring themes of betrayal and friendship within a secluded desert tent setting. I’m very proud of this one, can’t wait for the full game to be released. 🇰🇼

🧩 Review: Gulf Echoes: Memories of the Past ★★★☆☆ (3/5) Tried out the shortened version of Gulf Echoes: Memories of the Past with a friend, and honestly, it was kind of a headscratcher. The setting is definitely unique—exploring the Arabian Gulf through a puzzle adventure isn’t something you see every day—but the experience felt a bit hit-or-miss. The co-op idea is cool. Each player gets their own path, which means you really have to talk things out. But at times, it felt like we were talking in circles, trying to figure out what the game actually wanted us to do. Some puzzles were clever, others felt vague or a bit too obscure to be satisfying. There were moments where we just stared at our screens in silence, hoping the other person would figure something out. The story has potential. The chapter we played, Tent of Treason, had some interesting narrative hooks—betrayal, memories, and all that—but it didn’t fully land for me. Maybe it gets better in the full version, but this one didn’t quite grab me emotionally. Technically, the game ran fine, and the art direction was decent. Nothing mind-blowing, but it sets the tone well enough. 📝 TL;DR: Cool concept, nice setting, and a few neat puzzles—but overall a bit confusing and hard to get into. If you’ve got a super patient co-op partner and like untangling cryptic clues, it might be worth wishlisting. Otherwise, maybe wait to see how the full release turns out.
Almost caused a divorce 10/10
This was so fun and the puzzles are the perfect amount of challenging but easy to figure out if you focus on the wording in the letter and the details for each puzzle. We never figured out the phone passcode, but that didn't get in the way of finishing the game :'D Pros: - Puzzle difficulty level was perfect, you'll get it wrong the first time then right the second time - The arab vibe is so refreshing and feels natural considering most puzzle games on steam are made by western devs - A true co-op experience where you have to clearly communicate your side of the puzzle (and your teammate does the same) in order to progress together Cons: - Graphics arent the worst but could use some polishing - Movement is a bit slow + invisible walls are unpredictable - Could use some directional help for the digging puzzle All in all this is was very nice and enjoyable experience, and I cant wait for the full release :D keep going!
very good although i did everything because of my duo is brain-dead :)
