I enjoy playing this game, i cant wait for the full version to come out. I do have some small issues when streaming the game from streamlabs but thats my own pc giving problems. I also enjoy working with the Dev team, they have been so helpfull since i started playing the game. Thanks @trueillusionsoftware for this great game, keep up the good work😊
Much better controls now granted it still has a lot more potential but is now ready and easier to play after major update!.. :)
Just awful....
I have played this game now for over 60 hours and have no problem in recommending it. It is a beautiful world to look at, I have enjoyed figuring out most aspects of the game from building to combating the bosses in the various instances. The game does have bugs - show me an EA game, and lets face it most AAA games, that don't - but with a small development team of only 3 people they are remarkably responsive to any bug reports or suggestions made on their discord. For your money not only are you getting a great game but the opportunity to be involved, influence and shape the future of a game in a way I've not seen before in the many EA titles I've played. The buildings look incredible and to give an idea of what's possible, check out this amazing build by Razor's wife: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R14qP-EB0BY&t=15s There is a food/water/temperature system in game but it's nowhere close to being hard to manage, taming is straight forward and the epic mounts and spirit animals are fun as well as being a joy to collect and gradually fill your bar with. A few tips for newcomers - hold control key and the corresponding mount key to get on/off your mount and press F1 and F3 for more tips in game.
One of the good Indie games I have played in a long time, beautiful world, morphing into Dragons and a Dino is one of my favorite features in the game so far. Overall not a bad experience so far ____________________________________________________________________________ #Note to the DEVS Try to give specific loot drops to specific animals and enemies NPC's. For example animals only drop meat and leather, and NPC's drops Gear and weapons, its currently a bit random ATM. ____________________________________________________________________________ I will Suggest this game as a must play to my friends , Hopefully I will be able update my review as a play more :D
I bought this game with high hopes. After installing I found that there was no option to invert the Y axis. I checked the forums and found that this question was asked nearly 1 year ago and the developer said that it would be implemented soon. 1 year on and still nothing.....If you want to cut your available customer base by 50%, this is a great way to go about it. If you want to cut your available customer base even further, lie to them about changes that will make the game playable for them. There was one comment from a developer saying that inverting the Y axis is "not for everyone", or something similar....show me a mainstream game that doesn't have this option. Now I will be getting my money back as the game is obviously not being worked on at a respectable rate.
I bought this game yesterday, and after 12.8 hours, I feel I can leave a decent review on this game... This game is EXTREMELY early access for only being out for a year. While the concept, the music and the visuals are appealing, the rest of the game itself is a little broken. Certain things dont work the way they should. I've also found that 80% of my time is actually loading the game... Its quite intense on my computer, and hosting is personal hosting, so its very harsh on the computer's cpu/ram. Pros: -Taming, not many of those on steam these days, except ark and the like -Beautiful graphics once you get into game, and the music isnt bad either -Good idea, the prospect of what this game COULD be is very promising. Cons: - Everything wants to eat you... herbivores included. There's just something unrealistic about a camel attacking you for no reason... or for that matter a small dimeorphodon.... Could use some fixing there. -Loading screens take FOREVER. A new enjine might help, but like.... waiting 30-40 minutes for game play is just beyond me. I cant do it. -Bugs... now this is normal with early access... but some of these bugs... they just ruin the aesthetic of the game. I've loaded in swimming in the water because I fell through the map at some point. I got stuck in the roof of a dungeon because for some reason, it just put me there. Hell I've even loaded so far in the air I couldnt see the ground. These things, and many others need to be fixed before I can comfortably say: I approve. However I will give it a Recommend, only because this game holds promise... as long as the dev doesnt give up on the game, this game could become something really amazing. That being said... It need a lot of work.
Great game with awesome mix of all your favorite survival gameplay ingredients. Looks good, plays good and has a feel/style all its own.
After enjoying ARK for so many hours, I was super excited to try this one out. It was far from what I expected, however. First off, the game runs horribly, even on the lowest of graphical settings. I have no issues with any other game, but this one is choppy no matter what setting I put it on. It's really hard to enjoy a game when you can only see it in stuttering chunks. Second, the controls are pretty awful. In a survival type game, making you hit escape or tab to access certain menus is a garbage idea. If I hit escape, the settings menu should be there. I shouldn't have to hit escape, then look for my mouse, then click settings. The hotbar is also a big issue in the control scheme. I loaded in and saw that I had a T-Rex transformation available at the start. Awesome, right? Wrong. After smashing the 'G' key thinking it would turn me into said Rex, it doesn't. You either have to, again, hit tab or escape, then click the button OR (and they don't tell you this) hold CTRL when you hit 'G'. That really interrupts the fluidity of play in a horrible manner. Third, the loot drops don't seem to make any sense whatsoever. After hitting several identical rock formations, I somehow ended up with rocks, gold, silver, and copper. There's no differentiating features for node types, so good luck finding the specific item you need. They're all luck of the hit. You could always just kill animals, I guess. I killed a hare and happened upon a bookshelf, so that's cool. Finally, the crafting menu is pretty rough. I didn't like the layout of the different crafting options, but thought it would be okay because they at least provided a search bar. Turns out the search bar doesn't work. I looked directly at an item and typed the name into the search bar exactly as I saw it only to have the item (and all others) disappear from my crafting screen. Great. Get ready to scroll and scroll and scroll to find the ONE item you're looking to make. PS: One last gripe - The game won't tell you you're collecting water, but if you get swimming and spam 'E', you're collecting water. If you were having that issue like I was.
Being a survival game lover this game was recommended by a friend of mine, had a struggle in the beginning to know what to do, but watched a few YT tutorials (from Bopilawn) and i was set and on my way. I played this game with the mind set that its not AAA, but the Graphics and crafting and the Idea behind the game is good there are still a few bugs i can guess because its still in early access. I love the fact that its multiplayer as well, so me and my friend can play together If you are not after a HARDCORE AAA game, and want to chill with friends and have fun I would suggest you try this game for sure I will definitely play this game more often.
