SpeedRunners 2 is a high-speed multiplayer platformer where rival superheroes face off in breakneck races using parkour, grappling hooks, and game-changing power-ups. Fall behind, and a shrinking ring of fire eliminates you – until only one runner remains.

good game, it plays great, runs great, and has content. i dont get the hate
Great game over all but why the decision to make EVERYONES outlines purple is beyond me. Make the outlines the same color as your player border at the top. Absolute terrible design choice to make them all one single color it makes no sense.

I'm giving this one a cautious recommendation, because it's better and worse than the first Speedrunners. In comparison: Better: the graphics and smoothness are very nice on my Deck*. Worse: there are fewer levels, there doesn't seem to be a "save replay" feature, there is no workshop section (so no longtime longevity), no level editor. * however, the first might have a better overall "style" and have better detail. It's a difficult thing to put into words in a review: SR2 is shiny, 3D, glowy but also "samey"; SR1 still seems better crafted, with levels that are immediately distinct. Now, let's talk about it on its own. Because the above is more negative, but that's only because SR1 was/is so very good. Single player: well, the bots are a bit broken, because I could complete the campaign in under an hour, and I am really not a good player. The boss levels were a good idea, but not so brilliantly implemented, being too random in design. That aside, I do enjoy easy, short games better than impossible, short games. I did like the new game modes introduced. Multiplayer: yes, this is where the game shines again, because playing against real humans is an absolute blast (still). It'll take me time to get used to the new powerups: the ray gun is a bit OP (3 shots). The bomb looks weird. Crashes: in the just under 2hrs I've played so far, the game crashed once on loading a level. It froze. That was it, no biggie. I should mention I played this game at beta stage where it was a definite thumbs down from me. They fixed the issues I had with it (especially with the character animation). The narrator is much less annoying (although the "second place speedrunner has taken the lead" line gets very old very quickly). tldr: worth it for multiplayer. Would like more levels and a level editor and replay.
itsa gud
-Without items and modifiers game is very boring for an experienced player -Game doesn't need these flashy backgrounds -Some moments on the maps were casualized -Сharacter's victory animations look crooked -Bosses and the company as a whole are not needed and look out of place given the problems listed above
